I just got an email from Randy Slugaski at Just Adventures that this Polish maker of fine games like Schizm and Sentinel closed up shop on March 1. Sorry I didn't keep the email thread but you can go to Randy's site and read it there.

First Microids and now Detalion - - sad day for us adventure gamers.

Yes, Maciek posted something about it here at GB\'s Adventure Games Forum on Feb 22.

It is a sad day for Detalion, adventure gamers in general and me personally.

Mag,
Thanks for the GB thread. I travel a lot and missed seeing it here. The two Schizm games were above average IMHO.

Don't forget Reah too, which I feel was a lushious puzzlefest. The Detalion team have produced some stunning fantasy worlds, and sci-fi locations, and gave the genre a more diverse direction when it came to settings.

This is just terrible. Is it all right if I curse the darkness? I don't feel like lighting a candle at this particular moment.

Bummer. Depressing. Terrible news. I really enjoyed Reah and Schizm I. I have a copy but haven't started playing their Liath yet.

Unfortunately, I can't say I like Schizm II - started it months ago but stopped playing it (can't remember why) and haven't had the desire to return to it.

I've been trying to figure out why and I think I have it. Reah and Schizm I seemed very futuristic. Schizm II seems so, well, ordinary. Not futuristic at all. Also, the graphics just aren't as appealing to me.

But I was looking forward to more games from them!!!

Bawaaaaaaaaaaa!

Sad news indeed. I don't feel like crying today, but I guess I'll have to anyway. I wish the best to the Detalion crew for all the joy they have brought into the world.

Best Wishes,
Albert

So who DID get all the money from the game sales? think
We know the games sold pretty well.

cry well this is certainly sad news & kinda unexpected. I, for one, will miss their games.

I too wondered about the previous game sales $$$. Especially since Sentinel had just came out & seemed to be selling quite well with great reviews. I guess there must of been too many hands in the cookie jar for too long.

Sentinel is already available in the US, Bonnie.
TAC, the publisher, is still around.
