Create solutions for the clues by using the available syllables. A question mark after a clue denotes word play or trickery is afoot. The number of syllables in an answer is followed by the number of letters for each clue. Syllables are used only once. After the 19 clues are correctly answered, their first and last letters, reading down, will reveal the puzzle's Sage Advice a message many of us used to see on our computers in days past. Example: Syllable puzzle [4-12] (solution: syl + la + cros + tic)Starting Syllables: AC AG AN BAL BER BILE BLE BLE CAN CATE CEM CEP CIF CUL DAY DE DE DER EA EARTH ED EN ER EX EY EYE GLE HON I IM IM IZE LI MO MOON NAT NI O OLE OUS PER POS RAL RAV RI SAND SHY SI STER TA TER THOU TI TI TION TRAC TURE U U VATE VO WARE YES = 1. EASILY MANAGED [3-9] = 2. VACATION [3-9] = 3. DISCOURSE [4-11] = 4. MAKE INEFFECTIVE [4-10] = 5. KEEN OBSERVER [2-8] = 6. BOISTEROUS [4-10] = 7. FIXED [3-8] = 8. SALVAGE [4-11] = 9. CERAMIC POT [3-11] = 10. SUBTLE [5-13] = 11. UNSCRUPULOUS [2-7] = 12. NOT PROCESSED [3-7] = 13. EVERGREEN [3-8] = 14. LARGE NUMBER [2-8] = 15. LITTLE PASTA CASE [4-7] = 16. TEACH [3-7] = 17. FARMING [4-11] = 18. HOLIDAY MONTH [3-8] = 19. SHORT TIME AGO [3-9]

Sometimes lost is where you need to be. Just because you don't know your direction doesn't mean you don't have one.

There seems to be something wrong somewhere.
With the first letters I get: The device is not ready.
I can't do anything with the last letters.
In your instructions, did you mean to say 'first letters only'?
