Terror in the Atomic Desert is an upcoming 1st Person Adventure Game game based on 1950s/1960s

Check out the trailer here.

View the latest on their FaceBook Page here.

Check out the game on Steam here.

Quote:
It came from the 1950s! Terror straight out of the Atomic Age explodes onto your computer screen in this homage to "So bad it's bad" creature flicks such as The Beast of Yucca Flats and Eegah. Your trip down Route 66 quickly turns into a nightmare as local tales of a deadly race of radioactive beast men turn out to be more fact than myth! Match wits with the evil Dr. Arcturis as you race to put a stop to his dastardly experiments. Will you have what it takes to stop Earth from falling into the fiendish clutches of the saucer men from outer space? The choice is yours in "Terror of the Atomic Desert". Solve puzzles, evade monsters and match wits with local characters as the choices you make will lead to one of many possible endings.
Key Game Features:

• First Person Adventure/Puzzle Gameplay
• Explore Your Environment on Foot or by Car
• Uncover Lore and Interact With Local Characters
• A Plot Inspired by 1950s Monster Movies
• The first game ever to be presented in TERRORAMAVISION!

Happy Gaming!

Ana

The game reminds me a bit of this old adventure game: It Came From the Desert

Thanks for the info, Ana. smile

The name reminds me of a game from 2003 called "I Was an Atomic Mutant."
https://www.mobygames.com/game/windows/i-was-an-atomic-mutant

Anyone remember that game?
It wasn't an adventure game. It was a takeoff on '50's horror movies.
You played as one of four giant creatures that had been mutated by atomic something-or-other (including a giant floating brain that zapped things) and the object was to destroy as much as you could before being brought down by the puny humans.

Here's one Gameplay video on YouTube:

There are others.

I don't know that one Jenny but I did play this

I still have a copy somewhere, complete with VHS tape of the movie
Ed Wood was certainly an interesting fellow

"How so?"

Well it brought to mind (for me) visions of modern warfare - but of course on a closer look I found it to be nothing of the kind !! woozy

Sorry, TensionSlice. I should have returned to this thread and said so redface

Bumping this thread because I have just released the game smile

Had to keep bumping back the release date because I would always find bugs a day or two before whatever date I had set but now it is finally good to go.
