I have both Destination Treasure Island and Treasure Island. Which one should I play first? Is one a sequel to the other?

They have nothing to do with each other except for both
being published by Dreamcatcher/TAC in the US.

Destination Treasure Island was 1st person, a Kheops game with an annoyingly dumbed down combination interface. A disappointment compared to Kheops' previous game Return to Mysterious Island

Treasure Island was 3rd person (I think) and had more of a story.
According to the cover, it was based on the book.
I never got around to playing it.

Destination: Treasure Island uses TAGES DRM, which will probably need some sort of TAGES update in order to work on Windows 7/8/19 -- or possibly a NoCD.

I don't know about the other one.

I haven't played Treasure Island yet so cannot comment on it, but I really enjoyed Destination Treasure Island both times I played it. I actually have Treasure Island on the desk in front of me waiting to see if it works in one of my computers.

Treasure Island is playing fine on my Windows 7 pro 64 bit. I downloaded and installed Destination Treasure Island, but it won't play.

Doreen, post a note over in Glitches with your problem with Destination Treasure Island and see if they can help you.

Oh, I'm glad to hear Treasure Island plays on Windows 7. I wasn't sure. Is it a disc or did you download it from somewhere? I played the Big Fish version of Destination Treasure Island on my Windows 7 and it was fine. I didn't try the disc in here. I had played that on Win XP long ago.

Your computer is telling you which game you should play first.
Best not to argue with your computer.

For Destination: Treasure Island, check my previous post --
You'll either need to update the TAGES DRM on the game
or use a NoCD.

Or you can get the Big Fish version.
Fireflower also has it.
