My father introduced me to the Colossal Cave back in the early 80s. I was visiting him for a weekend; the first day we played for 12 hours and I ended up calling work every day to ask for another day off. I'll never forget in one game, after trying to get rid of a dragon in oh so many ways, throwing that stupid bird in a bird cage at him and turns out the bird was a flame-throwing bird and fried the dragon.

After five days, I had to go back to work and we still hadn't finished it. We played games every time I visited him - all the Zorks and whatever we could find.
Didn't really have time while I was working to play on my own, but now - another woman, also retired, and I play together. I do play on my own, but find it's more fun with two. What I'm not good at, she is and v/v.
