Mad, sounds like your order is still "live". But if that answer were any shorter or less informative, I'd be questioning if Steven was actually "live".

Seriously, though, I'd be looking into alternate options. There doesn't seem to be a benefit in price (the reverse seems to be true), and the customer service is dreadful... hard to see the upside of keeping your order with them.

I'm with Jack on this one. That response you received has to be one of the poorest attempts at supplying an answer to a question that I have ever had the misfortune to read. Their having to respond to most likely dozens of email inquiries every day does not relieve them of the responsibility of replying in a coherent and informative manner.

Make me two on agreeing with Jack. Yeesh. Not exactly what I would hope to find in my mail box after ordering 4 copies of anything.

Having moaned publicly I am now rejoicing publicly......as......

I'm happy to be able to announce that after yet another (final) missive to Steven Harding at GMX I have AT LAST received the confirmation I wanted - in that my order IS live and WILL BE shipped to all parties AS SOON AS Runaway is released

Perhaps I should also add that at the time I pre-ordered, the game cost £24.99 (the same price as Amazon UK now) even though the advertising showed it as £29.99.
You didn't get to see the "lower price" though till you were actually in the throes of making your pre-order. [I've no idea why

This thread was so interesting, that I decided to contact Tri Synergy here in the US (marketing division) and see what they had to say. I don't know if the August date applies to UK as well as US.

Here is the info from the 'Horses Mouth' for those of us in the US:


Tri Synergy will be publishing Runaway in North America. I believe GMX will be publishing it in the UK. You can pre order Runaway at www.ebgames.com or www.gamestop.com.

One more bit of news for you is that the title has slipped until August.
