lol So much for the coffee I was trying to drink when I read your post.. laugh

Aright - I am probably going to get a review/demo copy.. Somehow I didn't get the impression they were packaging it up with bio-feedback devices. There is a meta-physics behind the design team creativer drives - but unless I have lost it for good - I heard the software described as an interactive and innovative experience. I don't think this is a mind melding thought control game. I already granted that this will probably not be a game for everyone. But - truthfully no game exists that makes everyone happy. So - it's new, as I have new info, I will post it. The rest is up to you. smile

The whole thing sounds kind of strange to me...cults, biofeedback, metaphysics, religion...I just play games to have fun.

Just my two cents laugh

I dont know why some people are freaking out over this adventure title. To me The Longest Journey was a psycological and spiritual experience, for me anyway. I felt every human emotion we were given while playing this game. And I bet this title will probably do the same.

Hi folks,

We got in touch with the developers before we posted our Journey to the Wild DivineCrystal Ball page as we were intrigued but also wanted some clarification. The full response is at the bottom of the page. It looks interesting but the price of $149.00 may put people off and it isn't really a "game"

Cheers

Gordon

A price of 149.00 eek Well if that holds up - I don't think many people will have to be worried about checking out the software. - yikes!

Thanks for the added info Gordon. smile

JMK, I think you are right to mention caution. I initially did not think beyond the pretty pictures, and only after reading your concern, looked at some of the terminology to which you drew attention. I also noted that they mention an "events near you". Benevolent or not, who knows. But as already pointed out, that price tag will make it a moot point for many - me for sure.

JMK, I'm another one on the bandwagon with you. It is an adventure into Eastern Philosophy and metaphics. The whole drive of the software is to teach meditation and literally endoctrinate you into the teachings of Eastern religious practices. Who knows how the whole mind, body and, sensory things work in combo. It truly is not a game but a religious philosophy and one that I will say I do not adhere to as a Christian. (This is not meant as an attack to those who do, just a statement of my personal convictions).

Another note is that the company is out of Boulder Colorado, and Boulder has always been known to be one of the New Age capitals of the world, so this software is right in line with the idiologies supported in that community.

All religions have their truths and half truths, including Christianity. Perhaps if all the truths of each religion were put together we may have the full truth.

Hi everyone

This thread is becoming dangerously close to a thread about religion instead of a "game". I know this sounds like an old record but politics and religious discussions are no-nos on the board. I really don't want to lock it.

Thanks

Syd

I just wanted to give people a link behind the screen shots that GamersHell had posted up. It's really just so people can look at it. If it's not your cup of tea or it is - no matter.

Just FYI is all. smile

Syd - Thanks for "moderating" things. You are absolutely correct in bringing this thread down to earth. But it is fascinating to observe what this "game" has brought up in the Boomers. There are so many dimensions to us beyond games that to let us rip would be quite the journey (perhaps to the "Wild Divine.")

I would add that, IMHO, including biofeedback in a "game" is going a little far and I think sending this powerful stuff out willy nilly without supervision could be dangerous. Adding "local events" also smacks of TM or EST (anyone remember EST?).

Anyway, the $149 price tag will certainly select out for the faithful. How disapponting though, I was looking forward to it. Maybe it will be $30 without the gizmos!
