Hi Gang.......
I'm trying to collect the four things I need for Violet's invention to get rid of the snakes. I've been all over this area a bazillion times and can only find the lever in the wall that leads you to find the "rim" for the barrel. I can't get into the area where the big snake is, as can't find a key. I assume the other three pieces I need are in that area?

Thanks a bunch!

Lately, I've been watching my son play this more than actually playing it myself. (In fact, I can hardly get him out of the game so I can use the computer.)

In this part, I think you need to look high on the walls to see if you've missed a switch that you can pull down with the yanker-invention. Also, make sure you've blasted open all available barrels, boxes, etc.

Witchen, You need to go to the last room upstairs. Near the back wall is some boxes and a stand. When you break the stand, the wall opens and you can go to another area, which will lead you down and to the other side. You will come back up near the big snake. You won't need to get in the cage where the big snake is.

Hi Kay and Becky............To the rescue..thankfully praise

I did manage to find that blinkin' urn, Kay, to break so I could get through the wall in that last room where the fire is burning. Whew! That was a mystery.

Becky, I know what you mean about the kids/boys and this game. My little buddy, Max, age 8, got me started on this game and I've been stealing time as I can get it to get back into it. Its a whole bunch of fun! wink

I just now beat the snake basket puzzle and am now in the room with the guy with the hooks for hands. Boy, is he hard to beat or what? frown What's the secret to beating this guy when my health runs out so quickly?

Thanks whole bunches....er, bunches of feathers, that is! LOL laugh laugh laugh

Are you playing pc or console? Am stuck in factory where two of them are in a cage and can't find a lever anywhere and two actresses to fight.

acornia,
If you are playing the pc version, you just need to fight with the ladies and when you are finished, the cage will come down It may be different with the console version.

witchen,
The best way I found to beat them is after I stun them with one item, run to the hearts and get your health back up, then get them with another item. Their aim isn't very good if you are moving around.
Good Luck!

That's the problem. One lady can stun twice and she leaves. The other one if you stun her twice, cage goes into the pit--doesn't stop. Am playing the pc version. Will try again.

acornia,
When you stun the second lady, the cage starts to come down, then the game takes you back to the reptile place. Sounds like you may have a glitch in the game. The cage shouldn't go down in the pit. If you keep having a problem with it, I have a save just after fighting the two ladies.
Good Luck!
Kay

Hi Acornia......I'm playing PC and I think I just came through the area where you are, where Klaus and the baby are stuck in the cage and the two white-faced women are running around in a warehouse area where you can fall into the water. If this is it it does sound like you may have a problem. Kay has some good advice just above.

Also, thanks Kay on the advice to fight the hooked hand man in the first snake area. That's pretty much what I've been doing, but with this guy, your health is as fleeting as snowflakes in hades......LOL wink I'll keep practicing! praise Thanks!

Go Acornia! laugh

If you beat that devil man with the hooked hands, I'll be waiting to hear how you did it. frown I haven't had time to get back to the game the past couple of days. Christmas preparation is seriously cutting into my game time...bwahahahahahaha. wink

Use the feathers. Also can run out into the other run and go left--he'll get hung up on the wall next to the door. Still looking for the fourth item--barrel rim? Found one secret room in the steam area. Lever opener is up by the ceiling. If you haven't been in there go to the back under the flue as fast as you can.

There's a lever up the stairs from the snakes to the left of an archway. If you pull it, a picture of a lizard high on the wall to the right of the archway, moves to reveal an eye button. Press it for a moving wall.

Been through and done the snake basket room. Just haven't found the rim. Might need to change ammo with the hook man. If his points aren't going down, swap out the ammo. Need to knock him out a couple of times. Is there anything to do with the snakehead fountain?

You'll have to go back up the red stairs above the first room where the snakes are crawling around on the floor. Go down that hallway and see the lever in the wall straight ahead of you. Pull the lever and quickly move to the right of the archway beside you. See the button under the lizard picture. Punch it...the rest is history. smile

rotfl Have pushed that button, thought that was what opened the secret passageway on the other side of the room. Will look around to see what else opens up.

Hi Acornia...........Well, you may see it as a "secret passageway," LOL wink not sure...... but the rim is in that little alcove over to the right after you push the button under the lizard picture. Its just a closed in little space and no outlet there to go elsewhere. I thought the passageway was found after you use the smasher on the urn in the room with the fire burning.

Okay, I'm stuck. frown

I'm past the Hook-Handed Man and the lengthy hunt for the "reptiles" out in the gardens. Now I am facing the Bald Headed Man again with a new supply of bees.

I'd be most grateful for a tip or so on how to shellac this guy! LOL wink I've followed the ammo and ably manage to hold him off for long periods of time with refreshers from the golden hearts and picking up more ammo. But, maybe I don't understand what needs to be done here to take him out permanently and keep him from taking me out. I always run out of health.

My lack of action experience shows here, I think. frown

Get to knock him out four times. I just run into whatever he has dropped from being stunned and then that becomes the next weapon to use against him. At the end have to be close enough to use the smasher on him. Just fire rapidly and get close--not into that strafing. Also start and keep firing even while he is down from being stunned.

Thanks a bunch, Acornia...that really helps. I keep knocking him out and getting more ammo to use on him, but haven't been able to persevere through to four times.

I've tried both the strafing approach and up close and personal, so will stick with the later. So, you have to take him down with all of the four ammos shown and then the smasher. Okay...... praise thanks, again! I hope the next bad guy encounter isn't any more difficult than this one. We're getting seriously close to UN fun here.....LOL wink

Just keep firing that left mouse button as fast as you can while getting closer, think he only got in a couple of shots with me and that was the first time around. Am at my problem part in this game, jumping, jumping, and jumping on moving objects.

Funny how an action requirement can be easier for one person than another. frown I seem to be pretty agile about jumping onto moving objects, but fighting these bullies is a different story. wink Looks like I was on the right track to start with though, by charging right up and fighting in close.

Practice, practice, practice..........LOL
Thanx again, Acornia.

My problem has as much to do with slow reflexes as with the way I see. Have a lazy eye so only look out of one at a time. Makes for poor depth perception especially as each eye sees an item as a different size. So just pick a way that is easier for me. Later on will probably have to do some dodging and strafing but for as long as this works will use it. Just wish could save any time wanted. Did get through the jumps. Still get a laugh from the time when was trying to get a character to jump a gap in a bridge and landed on the rope--tightroped walked to the end of the bridge and then jumped off.

Good to hear you made it past the jumps! You surely seem able to overcome the vision handicap without much problem. smile

I tried the fighting in close again with the bald henchman and he still seems able to zap me really quickly. Am I missing something, or is this just the breaks, meaning I just need to suck it up? LOL wink

Make sure that the ammo you're using is affecting him. Have to change it time every time. While he is stunned, can try a different one and see if it works. Make sure you're firing as fast as you can. Usually, get about five or six shots to their one shot. Am used to it--only bothers me when I'm tired. Watch your health meter and get hearts as needed. Duck out of the room or around a corner if you need to regroup.
