Smiley, When you see the magreeb, walk towards it and it will see you and then run away. When you get back the promoter will ask what color it was.

Smiley....when you get close enough to the Magreeb you will hear a bell to let you know that you have seen it.

Well my Scholar finally got her promotion to Mage.
Leveled up and was able to level to 25 but didn't
have enough to go further then that. You guessed it.
.....need more money.

Cleared out a path to the Giants Ice Palace but
didn't go in yet. That might be next.

Got the axe or was it a hammer at the Monestary so
got that quest done.

Still need to go into the Training Hall (the dungeon)
to get that off the list.

So many quest and so little time. Sigh.

Does anyone remember how you get to fix the Maypole in Frosgard?

I found the guy that will fix it and I found the Treeman but nobody has anything to say about fixing it. I forgot what to do.

Sorry VHL, I didn't get the quest to fix the Maypole since I didn't have a healer in my party. I'll have to play using one the next time so I can do the quests I missed.

Well I didn't get the quest to do the Maypole this time and don't remember if it was a promotion or not but I do remember doing it before.

I have 4 healers in my party and I wonder how on earth did you make it through the game not having any healers?

Well the wicked very big giant is very dead....yeah....Hurray!!!

It happened so easy this time that I will have to remember for
the next time. We were just done weakening the posts down below
and clearing out the hallway when the movie comes on and he falls
through the hole. Hehe. This way is so much easier then having
him chase you over the weak floor and worry about falling down
with him.

Hi VHL, The quest to do the Maypole was a promotion quest for a Healer to become a Druid.
I played with 2 Gladiators, a Mage and a Lich.
The Mage and Lich could heal a little, and the Mage could cast Divine Intervention. I had my Lich cast the spell Souldrinker a lot too.
We did a lot of resting.

I don't remember if I found the bow or not. If I did, I sold it because I don't have it now.

Oh that's right now I remember.

I have 2 Paladins a mage and a Priest in my party and 2 helpers.

So they all can heal even the paladins.

I don't have Grandmaster in I think Spirit to be able to use Divine Intervention yet. I do however have the spell handy for when I do get Grandmaster.

Well off we go to do battle in the war.

I'm going with the traditional party (1 Paladin, 1 Priest, 1 Lich and 1 Assassin)

FWIW I had a Gladiator and a Paladin, and the Gladiator did about 5 times the damage of the Paladin.

You are doing great so hang in there.

I had a Gladiator the last time I played this game and decided to try Paladins because they have magic also.

Well that is the beauty of these games because you can try different stuff to see how it works for you.

Yesterday I played with Gothic II so didn't do much in this game.

Hi all,

Well finishing up the last quests before we go looking
for the army we lost.

We have to first up level until we run out of money and
then go and kill ourselves to go to Arslegard (what I call heaven).

Do you know how hard it is to have to kill yourself at this point of the game? To just let yourself drown or jump off a cliff without featherfall? Really irritates me.

We will have to do some stuff first before we can arrive there but we are on our way.

Almost to the end of the game and starting to feel sad about it.

Well made it through the Dark Passage yesterday.
Had to go back to Isle of Ashes (yet again) to
get the Writ of Fate.

We are now up in Arslegard and going to explore a bit before we start any quests there.

we are now 3 people at level 33 and one is 34.

Still don't have enough money to be able to
uplevel to where we should. I don't seem to
remember having this much trouble with not having
enough money and upleveling being so expensive before.

Oh Smiley.....sorry to hear that you won't be able to finish this game.

Guess its just me playing this one now unless you are still playing Kayc. Did you go and try to get the Dragon and how did you do?

Actually, I'm back in the game. I didn't notice that I had made an backup save

I've just made it to level 17 with 3 of my party members and one still at level 16.

How many times do I have to get promoted before my Scholar can become expert in Spirit Magic?

I got the dragon after several tries.
This is how I got him. After finishing the game, I sold most of my stuff and trained until the money ran out.
I gave my two Gladiator's 2 wands each of Poison Cloud. We ran up close to the dragon and the Gladiators kept using the wands, while my Lich kept casting Posion Cloud. Found my mage could cast Divine Intervention as many times as needed to heal and restore mana. When the dragon pushed us away, we would move back up close. Finally the dragon fell. Yay!
The spell Divine Intervention says you can only cast it once a day, but in the last room with the hard fight and in the dragon's cave, you could cast it all you wanted too. Don't know why, but sure glad you could. There was also new items in the 2 chests.
