I was following the quests along and making my way to the larger main game quests while solving mini quests along the way. I was sent to go to Wyens Pass and when I got there they said I had no pass and they turned into enemies. I killed them and now my larger quest symbol/book is gone off the world map. I also noticed the last land I just went through (a town I was not sent to but simply came across) is not logged in my Log Book. None of the quests show up even though they appear on the World Map. What did I do wrong?

Hi Ana:

If I remember correctly I had a few problems with a few quest things disappearing off the map. I was still able to finish the game, though.

Isn't Wyen's pass the one in the far south? Try scrolling down or from side to side. There's more to the map than what you can see initially, and your next quest icon could be somewhere where you haven't looked yet (if you know what I mean).

My memory is so bad. Hopefuly someone will come along that remembers more.

From memory, the log book of Sacred is a bit odd. As in, there are tabs along the side that are extremely easy to miss because they are very subtle when just glancing.

As for the map, yeah, you get the map of the world and so you may have to scroll east, west, north and south to see the little quest icons.

I was scared to come look this morning and thought I'd have to start over. But instead you have steered me in the right direction and I found everything I was missing in a tab for chapter II on the side and the big flag had moved all the way south. You guys are the best and I'm one very happy girl!

Hi Ana:

That's great! Sacred Plus is such a good game. There were only a one or two things that went wrong for me.

When you get to the lava fields, which is way ahead of where you are, you may have to scroll around that area to find your flags, but they'll be there.

Thank you Jean....I was so depressed over it I went to bed early. Especially since I didn't have any earlier save games because I delete them every other day because the scrolling to find them drove me nuts. I thought I was done for. I am so happy, words can't even express how relieved I am to find I am still okay to move on.

I'm loving the game. I'm a level 34 Daemon and she can really kick some serious behinds! I can't wait to go one after I finish my chores.

I have lost my horse twice already Alice. Once he miraculously appeared on other land, saddle and all and the other time all I found was a saddle on the ground where I left him. I guess he wasn't happy.

If I see yours maybe I can get him to take the poor folks I am trying to escort that always seem to die before I get to the destination point.

I think the horses trot home to their stable eventually. One horse dealer in particular seemed to have a lot of animals.

A horse always showed up for me..may have changed colors and sometimes saddles were gone..but I just figured someone playing the game left their horse behind at that point and I got him..I can say this..after a bit..my horse had the cheapest saddle.
Got tired of losing the good stuff..

My dragon and other large enemy strategy is to dodge behind something and blast them while they try to get round the barrier. Works for me.

Did you use a crossbow Pib? I just have my swords. I always win it just takes forever to get them down. I eat lots of health potions.

My gal has a lovely spell that blasts the heck out of them. Crossbows or bows would be the next best thing. One side of the action bar is weapons, the other side is magic. What magic are you good at?

Ana, do you have any spells you can use?

If not..what I did was go under his belly and started whapping at him..just watch it'll back up or try to turn on you..just stick to him like fleas on a dog..and you can do it with you little sword.
have health with you of course.
I've beat a lot of dragons using that method.

Hi again I don't think I have any spells, If I do I don't know what they are. I have combat skills, and their are two colors, the top ones such as Tentacles (yellowish I think) and the bottom row (bluish). Are those magic spells or skills? I'm a level 46 and don't have a lot of points in magic because I didn't think I had any spells. Am I wrong?

Otherwise I just go in and wack the heck out of them till they die.

Yep those are skills..magic..whatever..use them or better yet combo them if you can..they really come in most useful..

I can't remember what I used for them, I was a seraphim first time and a vamp the second..so remember skills or feats of magic..are not there..
but again...I'd go under the belly of the dragon and stay away from the fire end..and the tail whipping about.

Can't remember but I think I used the whapping method of dragon defeat also - run, whap, run, whap, run - you get the picture. With any luck he'll get stuck somewhere like my ice dragon did and you can just whap at will

I'm doing great, just wacking everything that breathes. I'm a level 47 Spells just don't seem to work well for me even though the levels are up to 10. It must be because I didn't put any magic points in them. But fortunately I can kill anything by just hacking my way through. I have tried both ways of hit and run and under the belly and just keep hitting. They both work great! I am well on my way. Thanx for all the advice.

..Off to side down on your activity bar..what do you have in 4 round circles? that's where your class skill-magic spells(can't remember what they're called) go..
If you put 4 different or even all the same skill in them by click and drag,
all you have to do is click on them in battle and boom it's used..as it refills you can do it again..it really is a help..keeps some of the little folk away while fighting your dragon.
Like you though, I really like being under him/her it's so special that way.

Well, it's amazing what a day of gaming can do. I finished Sacred and I'm now in the Underworld. Now that I'm done I found the tabs that tell you what each spell does. I've been using and combining the wrong ones all this time.

Hi Pib, The Ancaria Campaign ended so quickly I didn't know what happened!

I Just got out of the mines with Valor wife I believe. It's the part that you come out the on the dragons tongue. Not sure how far I'll get during the week but I'll keep up to date on where I am here. My horse got killed in Ancaria. I now know to watch the little hooves to see if they are changing color.

Yeah, I spent what felt like *forever* in chapter 3 and then chap 4 is so amazingly tiny...

Since I'm alternating games, you'll probably be way ahead of me after a week.

Man, the demon guarding the portal is tough. I tried two or three times and I don't think I had him down to half points before he killed me. And that includes gulping healing potions every couple of seconds.

Gonna hafta rethink strategy for this big fellow. He better drop some *really* cool stuff for all this work.

Where are you? I'm escorting a girl and a ghoulish looking guy right now. We are on our 3rd stop I believe. It seems much more difficult and a lot more fighting than the original Sacred.

I just discovered that I can give health potions to the folks I'm escorting and weapons too. Man do I feel stupid. I really could have used that during Sacred.

It is Ana, the respawn is horrible in Underworld..it really lost my interest after a few quests..but others trudged on and finished..

I was stuck in the first dungeon, looking to release Vila. The demon in that room was very tough (but somewhat dead now).

Got a piece to one of the special Seraphrim armor sets. I had one of them already, but this one is much higher level and better.

You still playing Pib? I'm stuck in this land of wooden walkways with these annoying fairies that dart around. I finished the quests there and need to get farther up on the map but I can't find a way out. I'm getting weary of being shot at!

I'm alternating between Sacred Underworld, Divine Divinty and Morrowind. This means progress on all three games is even slower than usual. So I haven't found the annoying fairies yet, but today is a Sacred day so who knows?

I may still be there whenever you get there Pib, so I can wait. I quit for the night because it wasn't fun anymore and since they are all ten levels higher than me I'm going through so many potions that I won't have any left. I think I hit the annoying part, I've been fine till now.

I'm busy wading through a million dead pirates. Horrible, a cave with a demon I didn't expect.

I thought there were a lot of areas it was hard to move in Ancaria but the Underworld is brutal. The enormous amount of them on you at a time is just insane. And the fact that you can't ride past them because they put spells on you to freeze your movement while they come running from a mile away is not helping any. The area I'm in is the next one after you finish the 3 pirate islands. Hope to see you soon.

I couldn't handle the constant battling and respawning..this just wasn't as good as Sacred Plus, plain and simple-happens like that sometimes...hope they "hear" folks..

I couldn't finish Sacred Underworld either, and it's a shame because the graphics and storyline are both fantastic. I finally gave up in the druid area with my mage, and in the pirate cave area with my demon.

The respawning was what did me in. Hopefully their next game will be better, if they do one.

Hey, I'm still behind you! Just a bit out of sync is all. I just wish I didn't have this pirate following me into the demon cave. Survival on my own is bad enough. Trying to keep two alive is not fun.

If this is the monster level and respawn rate for a Bronze game, I would hate to try the Gold and above levels!

Thanx Ingie! I just reached my next destination. It seemed like a lost journey but I made it back to civilization. Bless you Pib if you can make it through the Upper area faster than I. Now I have monsters that dance ballet when you aren't dueling them. It is quite humorous to watch.

The seraphrim has this one ability which creates swirling light around her which damages the enemy. I *just* discovered the other day that I can cast it on my companions. Makes them more effect and less likely to die.

When not facing major demons that is.

Well.....I just finished the Underworld Campaign. Whew....I hope never to come across such viscious attacks again. It's enough to cause nightmares.

How much more was there after the Druid place?

Made it through the volcano to the surprise teleport from demon one to demon two and found myself in a forest.

Jean, which as the Druid place? Describe something to me. I don't do good on monster names sorry but I know the landscape well.

I promised my son I'd play Diablo II now. He's been waiting for over a year to play on line with me.

Pib, it'a really rough stretch with hardly any potions. I finally found a ring that increases chance of finding potions and I think I found less afer that.

I meant the place in the trees with all the wooden walkways. I think the mage and daemons have some quests that are slightly different. so you might not know. It's kind of hard to remember where I all got to, since I was doing a daemon at the same time.

You're a veteran rpg'er for sure, now, and you'll go down in our Hall of Fame for completing this one!

Hi Jean...that was what I called fairy land. Hated that place, that is where I got stuck and couldn't find my way out. I was there yesterday afternoon and I finished in about 6 hours after including doing some grueling side quests. If you made it that far you may as well finish but I have to say that the game gets seriously harder the closer you get to the end. Most times it was 15 to 1 and they all were 10 levels higher than me. Buy as many health potions as you possibly can and dump anything else, you will need it. The only way I made it was finding a teleporter into Purgatory and buying up all the health potions they had by revisiting about ten times. If I had not done that I would have failed. It's a great ending so if you can go for it.

I'm sorry to say I uninstalled the game. I can try playing again on my new computer when I get it, but will have to start my characters all over again in Sacred Plus. Maybe I will do that one day. I feel like now that I'm doing an action game with The Return of the King, I should be ready for anything (well, almost).

I haven't lately found any side quests, but I finally acquired enough of one set of armor to see that it really does give you a bonus. I have 3 of 6 pieces of the Seraphrim Lightning of the Seriesh (well, spelling is close ) With that 3rd piece, I gain a 30% damage bonus. I must say that there are too many armor sets though. She has 2 of another (Ariel's Faith) and one piece of each of two other sets. Since the pieces are random drops from the mini boss or boss monsters, having at least 4 sets with 4 or more pieces makes it too difficult to collect them.

The side quests appear if you get lost and wander around. You'll find a few lone folks in dead ends. I'm sure I missed a lot because the battles were so brutal that unless I got lost I did not wander around intentionally. No good rewards for the quests as in Ancaria. I found that most of the time the rewards were for a Dwarf some other character that I could not use.

I collected only the pieces that boosted my stats. I ended up with a good set of armour comprised of two different sets.

Are you still on one of the pirate islands?

I've finished the dryad quest and need to fight my way through to Shadar's Tower. I am so not looking forward to this.

Whew, last night, I fought my way up and back the mountain trail and finally arrived at the tower. There are a lot of monsters on that trail, some of them insist on dying in packs.

You are getting close Pib, did you find the teleporter so you can get to town if you need potions? They really do increase in number don't they? I used to try and run only to discover they follow you and you end up getting attacked by more.

Not yet. I plan on making good use of the three guys situated by the tower and I've traded in a bunch of the tokens for other classes to buy some for my class and sold a bunch of equipment I don't need. I also found a magic storage chest so I'm going to take out the more useless stuff I stashed there and sell it as well. Only going to keep spare potions and set items that I don't have enough of the set yet to use in those magic chests now.

ok, done the tower, found a teleporter (drat, I had seen others of those but since they don't look like the teleporters from the first campaign, I didn't step on them). Now back around this stupid mountain path. Step, fight, step, fight, rinse lather repeat.

The end movie better be worth it...

It actually goes fairly quickly from here on in, especially if you don't wander and do side quests. I thought the ending was really good compared to others so I thought it was worth it.

You can do it Pib, just bring a whole big stash of health potions and keep on hacking away.

Side quests? And fight through even more hordes of monsters for a tiny reward? I don't think so.

Had to reload cause I made the mistake of exploring down toward the south of the mountain, and getting bored with monsters I tried going north. The Seraphrim *used* to be able to outrun monsters. Alas, this is no longer true. One Seraphrim vs 20 monsters == one dead Seraphrim.

Running doesn't help, I found that out too. They just follow and catch you and then you have more to contend with. Did you make it to the next location?

Found Hell's Blacksmith and so, of course, I have another quest to complete before he'll hand over the gem I need.

I also found piece 4 of 6 of the Lightning of the Seriesh outfit. It's pretty spiffy, hope I get lucky and get the other 2.

The end wasn't even that bad, as long as I stayed well away from those tentacled beasties! The jewelery embedded in my armor gave back health for every successful hit. And other jewels gave back health in exchange for a bit of gold. Still took a couple of health potions but I have plenty left.

Still, somehow, playing the game again straight away definitely doesn't appeal.

You can actually continue on after you've finished Ingie. I left mine installed in case I feel like getting beat up some more one night. I was able to head back to an unfinished quest but I haven't yet made it all the way to see if it actually tracks it in the log book. If that's the case you could play for quite some time with no pressure.

Actually, I was thinking that if I did the original campaign again at silver, and acquired even better equipment than I currently have, playing Underworld again would be interesting. Mostly because as I built up the Lightning of the Sereish outfit, the fights were becoming easier. Easier monsters, such as the green guys you meet toward the end (Hell golems??), I could actually end a fight healthier then when I started. The tentacle monsters would cost a fair amount of health to fight though. Nasty buggers.

Well, all I know is this game has more respawns in it than any I've ever played...I just lost interest.
Who knows one day when I'm tired of watching my toenails grow, I just might play it...NOT

Actually, I found that it was the original stocking rate of monsters that was the problem. The respawn is no worse then the original, 10 minutes after you are through, monsters are back to original numbers. Or that's how it seemed to me.

The rate at which areas have monsters is completely ridiculous though. Especially a mountain path which has tough monsters and you *must* traverse a large segment of twice to finish.

I agree, there are a whole bunch out there, but although I like slash and hack games..this one was more thank I could handle...perhaps at another time.
I did love the 2 new characters though and when I play again, I will chose one of them..I started, just couldn't finish.
