My "Save" option is gone (or kerflunked as my husband says). I'm at level 13 playing as the female thief. Got to the point where the chick is abducted by Jake and when I went into the grave/pits, the save option could not be highlighted. Tried saving there, going back above ground- nada, zip, nuttin. It had a glitch in it earlier in the game in that my mana bar was black instead of blue, making it look like I had no mana. (I think I need to stop saving over saves.) blush

You can't save while you're in the episode with Jake. Hopefully the ability to save will come back once you're out of the area.By the way, did you install the hotfix for the game (don't know if the patch is posted yet or not).

I had this happen when I was going to Verdistis and I didn't notice so I ended up save over my back up save as well. What I noticed later is when I went to Verdistis for the first time I could see everthing and there was no black I ran around for about a half hour and had save over both files for that particular game and I lost it all. So if you go to a new place and there is no black and you can see everything check to see if you can save if you can't restart your game. I hope this helps others from the frustration I felt.

Hi, Audrey, glad your enjoying this wonderful game.

There's a couple of instances when something is going on that you can't save ... there aren't many. What I did was to back out of the area, when possible, save and then go back in. It worked most of the time. Only in a situation where it is too far to go back that you may run into a problem.

Btw, the 2nd time around, I rescued the lady first. When I went back to the graveyard in Aelroth he wouldn't show up, not even in the cellar of his house. Possibly a glitch, because you don't kill him in the kidnapping sequence, he just runs away. He's apparently still around but is probably pouting somewhere because I snatched his lady from him.

Thanks, Nickie!

I'm too lazy to check any WTs (not that you can exactly write a walk-through for this game...) So if anyone can tell me how to use all the round charm thingies to charm something which should be charmable...maybe I'm not charming enough!!!

I am playing as the female thief on account of I like to hit some things now and then. lol

LIKE MY COMPUTER!!!

Ahem.

So any help would be appreciated!

Hi Marion:

You have to have the "enchant weapon" spell. If you look at the spells it will tell you how many charms you can place depending on what level spell you have and what level charms your weapons will take. There are small, medium and large charms.

Different weapons will have different numbers of charms you can put on them. Some won't have any. While in your armour screen (whatever the screen is called that when you click on it, it shows what armour and weapons you are using), either right or left click on the weapon you want to place the charm on. The round slots will pop up depending on how many each weapon will take. Then you just drag the charm you want onto the slot. If a weapon will take 3 charms, and you only have the level to use one, one circle will be open and the others closed.

I hope this makes sense. It's kind of confusing until you do it a few times.

Awww Marion, I'm sure you're plenty charming! lol Just wanted to point out two things while you're traversing the countryside. At some point you'll probably come across a wagon that needs a wheel. You might want to speak up after you get into that quest, as you can break it if you do some things in the wrong order. And also, there's a neat wishing well out there that is a good thing - I would have missed it without Jean pointing it out.

Marion, so you went back and told the trader that the cart had been attacked? That was the part I wanted to make sure you did first, before you went looking for whomever was responsible for the massacre. Be sure and save before you find them. I don't know how tough you are right now, and I had to replay it a few times. But I was a fairly wimpy wizard. And yes, you can level up really fast by spending time in the sewers!

Nickie-

I am the chick thief and am at level 23. My biggest problem is finding decent weapons to buy and/or repair.

This game is very much like BAAGing. You get one quest finished, and then three more pop up. I've got so much to do, I'm afraid to talk to anyone new, in case they give me another quest. lol

This is probably the best RPG I've ever played. I like the fact that it is so huge and that you don't have to progress in a certain way. You can do it MY WAY!

I'm SO glad you're enjoying it. Yep, you can breeze through it with only doing the main quests, but what fun you would miss by doing it that way. I found several really good swords at the shop of -oh heck, what do you call the guy that repairs and makes them for a living, that's in the marketplace? But the best two I stumbled across.

Pssst, Marion... Nickie was close. She thought it was Redjones or Greenwilliams, but I told her those didn't make any sense. Glad you could help her out. thumbsup
