If you do install-don't install service pack 2-in interferes with lighthouse's patches-you'll have patches all over your desktop-believe me I know-

I'm with fov on this one. It sounds like a video card/driver problem to me. What do you have for a video card? Are you using the latest drivers for the card?

I've played Ripper on Win 98 SE and got the lines and picture scrunched up to the top of the screen. I downloaded the game patch and it cured everything. It's possible the same patch might work in XP. I have it in my files if you'd like me to send it over to you.

If anyone has used inferno's instructions-do you have a problem changing your conventional memory-mine won't let me change it-it did before-and now it won't it's driving me nuts
