Er’Cana features a vast landscape with hours of unique gameplay that can be played single player or with friends. If this episode follows the same format as the previous episode, there will be new story content released via roleplay as the episode begins, with Er'Cana opening for explorers near the end of next week. For more information, visit the Myst Online website. You can play Myst Online: Uru Live for free through June 27th by getting a free TapID on GameTap. We were just signing on to MOUL and it said Welcome to First Light--episode 6. Do you suppose it released early?

Thanks for the alert, Becky! (soooo happy!) I don't know, L4L - I'll have to check it out - sometimes the updates take forever, so they start them ahead of schedule

Well, if anyone gets on let me know. We downloaded, but now cannot connect to MOUL. Hubby thinks it's trying to connect to the new stuff, and since it can't, it just won't let us in. Sigh, I guess it just wasn't in the cards for us to play tonight.

Okay....hmmmm it's been over an hour and I'm still at that "Updating" black screen with the progress bar at the bottom. When it gets to the end, it starts over again - I wonder if it's a bug and if I should abort the update and try again....(just thinking out loud )

I just got in with no problem. The initial update took 12 minutes. It took a couple of minutes for the progress bar to start -- I was worried that maybe the update had crashed, but fortunately it hadn't. Getting into the main city instance involved a 2 minute download. I was only there briefly -- something has changed, and I should have watched my step. Chief -- which linking book did you use? (You may want to put it in a Spoiler tag, as an update in an Age implies that there's new content in that Age.) For Er'Cana -- yes, there should be a new book, but we probably won't see it right away -- maybe later in the week is my guess. Craters is a good description. I call them holes, but I think others call them caves. I've found four, but can't always find my way back to them. Renee -- somebody stole all the textures! Graphics in the city didn't look different to me. May go back in and check out the gallery. And I meant to check if the Ki coordinates have been changed. That spot just to the side of the line of the Great Zero where they suddenly go wacky.

Yes...mine took about 15 minutes to update while logging in.....I hope that means LOTS of new stuff to do starting Saturday! Regarding the update while linking from your Nexus to the city, it just takes a while. Mine took almost 5 minutes with several loading bars. I got in very early, right after the site was up again after adding the updates. We had a lot of fun "line dancing" thanks to Ravenclaw's music! A lot of people were experiencing unusual things in the public city last night: Some people were seeing the blue GZ light and no texture in the city, and could not see all the people either. This was usually resolved by linking out and relinking back in. We figured it was a glitch or maybe all the updates were not loaded the first attempt. I really only noticed one change in the city.................... All the cones except one are GONE! Only one "LONE CONE" CHIEF: I would be happy to help you find the other holes in Minkata. You really should get those done before the new release of Ercana. I will be online tonight, so if you see me, give me a shout! By the way....the round brown things on Minkata are called "Scars".....since they look like scars on the land.

Scars? I think they look more like blisters. Well, first time into the city the bridge was missing (that's why I warned about watching your step). Second time in, the bridge was back. Textures were fine in the gallery, though the stairs in the city instance were blocked off. Only one cone? Maybe more people can make it into the city now because they've booted the cones? (And there was war with the hordes of Cone, and the Faction of Explorers was triumphant. And lo, the Cones were exiled from the city until only one was left as a memorial to their former greatness.) New thing to do -- possibly a spoiler. While in the city, try pressing F8.

Chief -- You need to go back to the bone hut/circle and touch the stone after each scar. You'll turn day to night by touching the stone, and then come out and follow the path. I followed Soot around like a little puppy. I'd never ever have found those scars without him.

I thought all those round things scattered all over Minkata were the Scars and that there are 5 caves (some call them kivas) with ladders to go down inside. With help from hints at the MOUL forum I found 2 of them, but I never got the night scenes so I think I have to do them over again. I was busy elsewhere yesterday so never made it here or online to the game, so of course, suddenly everything is happening, like wouldn't you know it!

Yes Chief....you have to find every hole in Minkata to finish the age. There's a few other things to do in there too before you finish. I know you are in Canada right? Don't know the difference in time zones, but I will be looking for you and would be more than glad to help!

I saw your name listed on the left when I was online earlier. It's showing you as being in the city. I tried messaging you, but got no response.....maybe there are too many people dl'ing the update so it is taking a long time. I'll keep an eye out for you.........:)!

Have you tried to link to the Hood or the personal instance of the city? It may give you the same update but not take as long. There has been 100 max population in the public city all day! Nothing is happening yet. We got a KI mail from DRC that the Graet Zero calibration is completed and there will be a party tomorrow night at the Great Zero for the activation of it. Other than that, we may get a little IC stuff going on in the cavern tonight, but I don't think we will get into Ercana till later on in the week. I will keep you updated if something happens.

Chief....you can get to the Gameboomers Hood several ways. One is the first book on your bookshelf in your relto. Another is to go to the nexus and look at the very top of the screen...that will always be there for the members only.

I had a grand time last night. So many explorers in the Watcher's Pub, all trying to show off their new dance routine . Soon the crowds will lessen and I will be able to read all the journals, but for now I'll just enjoy. I would have liked to stay longer and catch Cate but maybe next time. All should visit the Pub while crowded just for the experience.

gamenut, Lots of people seem to be having the same problem. Here is a link to the MOUL forum where Ichabod posted a fix for the problem that helped some people. Evidently there was some sort of corrupt file. Look for Ichabod's download called "download city district textures". Hopefully this might help you too! Link to the Fix

I, too, had the problems with looping and textures being off. Putting that file where it goes seems to have fixed it. Yay! Not much going on tonight, as far as I could see. I was only on for about thirty minutes. I wanted to get some "real life" stuff done tonight so I can spend lots of time glued to my screen when the new age is released. Priorities! I tried to get into the Watcher's Pub the first night it opened and I couldn't even move. There were 88 people in there. When I went to Relto out, it there was a 20 second lag between when I clicked on my Relto book and when my avvie actually reached for it. Fingers crossed that we see something new tomorrow...

Hi gamenut -- the bright blue light is supposed to be there. Possible spoiler. They finally calibrated and started up the Great Zero. It does take awhile to get used to Ki communication. No worries about doing something goofy -- believe me, we've all done that at one time or another.

Hi gamenut -- I don't think you need to go more marker hunting if you don't wish to. But marker hunting can be a lot of fun. Do more of the marker quests if you enjoy them. I'm not sure how to eliminate the Ki chat without closing down the Ki. An expert will be along soon who will know that, I hope!

I am so glad that fixed the problem for the two of you! I never had that problem, but some others I chatted with did and said that fixed it for them. gamenut....I don't think there is a way to completely shut off the chat when your KI is open...BUT...you can lessen the time that is stays on screen. Here's how: Open your KI. There are 3 Icons sort of in the middle of your KI screen. The first one looks like a square piece of Graph paper (that is where you read and write your "KI Mail"). The second one looks like a person with it's arms stretched out (that is the "Buddies" icon). The third one looks like 2 Gears (that is the "Options icon). Click on the Gears and on the right you will see where it says: "Chat Fade Time". Move the arrow all the way to the left and then the chat will fade off your screen very quickly! ALSO>>>by going to the city using your brown book in your Relto, you went to the "Private" instance of the city. That is one only you can go to. Sometimes people like to do their marker hunts in the private city to get rid of lag. That's why you didn't see anyone! To get to the "Public" instance of the city, you have to click on the SECOND book on your Relto shelf and go to the NEXUS. Then click on "Ferry Terminal" and you will be in the public city where other people are. ALSO>>>>Open your KI and look at the bottom left-hand corner and will have your name and "ID" #. That is your KI #. Post it here so I can add you to my Buddy List and see when you are online, ok? My KI # is on the bottom of this post. The new age is supposed to be open sometime Wed. or Thursday. I'll be looking for you!!

..have been doing that but the 'chat' stays on the screen all the time (unless i close the KI or log off and restart). Should i go ahead and send in a ticket? Hi gamenut, are you having fun yet? I can't get rid of that darn chat at the top, either. So what I do is move the KI to the right corner of the screen so that the dialog is chopped off - you can still see the KI and whoever's on at the time - this is where the chat fade setting works. The names will disappear but the KI will still be on the screen - I hope this works for you! (I like to hide the dialog just in case someone mentions a "spoiler" that I don't want to hear) I was stumped on finding those caves in Minkata, too - I've got sand in places I can't mention here... It would be nice to have a separate - "sub" forum for MOUL otherwise this thread's going to be really long! Good idea!! We'll see if MaG agrees Thanks for the info, Chief!!

I think a forum for MOUL would be just great! I read on a newcomer's guide and answer sheet one can clear the chat pane on the screen by typing: /clearchat It seems there are special commands that all begin with a forward slash (/).

Just finished working a Relay tonight and interesting news.... Reteltee (an explorer) was asked to meet with Cate Alexander and Marie Sutherland in a private meeting. He then went to Uru Obession Hood to have a meeting.
Here is a summary from Uru Obession Cavern Today:
"The meeting showed that the DRC is interested in slowly making a progress to introduce some kind of guild system in the future. They had a few suggestions on what Guilds could be created and asked for Reteltee's suggestions on what guilds to include and how to incorporate it. Unfortunately this isn't anything the DRC wants to make completely public yet so we don't know any details and there are some things Reteltee were forbidden to talk about."
The talk is possibly doing this in "babysteps" - slowly and methodically.... So it appears eventually there will be more involvment for us! No time frame was given. Reteltee says he will post a chatlog soon of some of the information from the meeting with Cate and Marie but only up to the point where he was asked not to keep a chatlog any more because of information they prefered not to disseminate yet. Reteltee is knowledgeable in Guilds and apparently the DRC are interested in what he had to say. So this seems like there is even more afoot in the cavern than just new ages! (and yes, we relayed this meeting to our customers who got it first!)
Once the chatlog is posted I will include it here.

You can have us link into your Relto just let us know when you'll be in the game, and we'll link from your Er'cana book on your bookshelf to help you - I haven't figured out this new age yet either, but I need help too...there's always someone from the Gameboomers' neighborhood online. They're all really helpful and patient people (the usual suspects, like UruKat, Big John, borbaric, boron - just to name a few regulars who are on every night) - it's actually a lot of fun once you get your bearings in this place. The great thing about MOUL is there's always something new every month - Luckily we have Dudemom and Becky who can keep us updated with the latest events that will be coming up. Looking forward to seeing you!!

For those who want to explore with others, again here are the Ki numbers for people who would like to help. If you aren't already in the GameBoomers' neighborhood, you can put these Ki numbers into your buddy list so that you know when these explorers are online at the same time that you are. EDITBTW -- I've been reading the chat logs of the current events in the cavern. Does anybody else think the DRC are making a really big mistake by sending Sharper to Noloben? You want to investigate a possible war -- so you send the least disciplined person you've got? Puuleease.
And another question -- do you think the DRC has informed the surface authorities of the deaths in the cavern? Have they bothered to inform the surface authorities of a group of aliens at war that can link at will to the earth's surface (as far as I know anyway, having seen them running up the volcano to the cleft)?

I've been away on personal business from Thursday to Monday, so yesterday was the first day I went online to MOUL. I figured by then things wouldn't be so hectic. When I finally logged on and went to my Relto, I got turned around somehow (easy for me, you know) and when I looked on my shelf only one book was there. I'm trying to figure out what happened since I was gone and it must be a real disaster of some kind! Then I moved my avatar and I suddenly spied my other shelf, yes, the one with all my linking books! What a relief that was, let me tell you! One reason I signed up was so I could join up with others as I played the game, but at present I'm having a hard time doing this. It is harder to do than I thought it would be, at least for me. Like last week I was talking to someone and he was helping me with the caves ... telling me about some light it was necessary to see and walk through, I think, before it turned to night. I thought I touched the stone he mentioned but nothing happened when I did so I left the cave and never did see any light or constellation or whatever So he was going to go to a cave with me to help, but I didn't quite understand what I was supposed to do. I clicked on the link to Minkata, thinking he would show up there too, but he never did. So I know I did something wrong for sure. This is why I'm trying to learn as much as I can by myself first! This wasn't the first time I messed up when someone was trying to help. I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings just because I'm the one making all the mistakes.

I was afraid he might feel I just simply abandoned him because I didn't care for his help and just left him there willy-nilly. Which I did, of course, but didn't mean to. I felt terrible when he didn't show up, but there was a line about a hand to the right, which I couldn't find in Minkata, so I figured I had jumped the gun and moved too fast. I did try to get back but I couldn't find the way.

People can't follow you into your private Ages unless you send them an invitation to do so, or unless they come to your Relto and use your linking book to that Age.
Hey, Becky - just a quick question - Can I link into Big John's Er'cana without him having to link out and find me? Or do we need to go to a common area and have him share his Relto book? Last night everyone was in his Er'cana, but I didn't want to interrupt him and have him link out so I didn't ask.... Thanks!

Renee -- if he sends you an invitation, then you can get to his Er'cana via the nexus -- it'll be in (I think) your private links in the nexus. Otherwise, he has to share his Relto book to get you to his Er'Cana. (If I'm wrong about this, somebody please provide better info. )

Boron, Borbaric and I were having fun in Big John's Ercana riding the train!! We would have loved to have you join us. We can send a private invite to an age via the KI....no need to leave and meet someone, although, you can also do it that way also. Never be afarid to ask...the more the merrier!

It was fun running around Minkata with Chief!! Those holes are tricky little suckers. Now you have to work on Ercana......lots of fun stuff. Holler if you need help, ok? Also had fun last night with Borbaric, Big John and Nay (Renee)in our Ercanas. Celtic Lark was able to get past her crashing point too...YAY!

Hi gamenut, You're welcome! And now you have helped me as I didn't know about clicking on the name to speak to a person. I have enough trouble talking to people so very happy to learn that. I have a linking book to Ercana and I've been there, but all I've been able to do so far is click on something like a journey cloth, except it has a different symbol. Yesterday I clicked on a Bahro stone somewhere and found my self on a small platform with no place to go, went back to my Relto, and surprise! I now have a small platform attached to my island. Why I have no idea, and I don't think it was there before.

Ooh, lucky you sierramindy-sounds like you got your dock. That Bahro linking stone comes and goes at the Ferry so you never know when it will be there. You should have a new page in your Teledahn book, too. Though not sure why you would want to go there often Glad you are sticking with it gamenut. The more people you meet the more fun it becomes. Hearing about boron swiping chiefette's boots...well, it makes us all seem like family somehow. My only regret now is that I am spending the summer roaming around northern New England and never know when I can actually connect to the game but there are compensations...heheh. Wish the server would come back up right now since I will have to pull up stakes and leave here today. If I don't see you all for a bit you will at least know it isnt because I dont want to be with you! Kate (aka Katva #969932)

Anybody having problems getting in this evening? Soot was in there earlier today--no problem.
But then he was crashed to desk top and has been trying for hours to get back in with no luck.
The software just keeps locking up before the final sequence.

Nope no problems for me, finally! I'm way behind the rest of you in Er'cana. I just got to the last section of the mill and am working out what to do. Thanks to all that helped me in getting that far. Gamenut, I'll be back on around 9:00 or 10:00 tonight if you want some help. Although you are further in Er'cana than I am. But I can assist you with some of the chat and KI functions to help you communicate more easily. My KI is in my signature below.

Well, Gamenut, I'm glad you didn't get on tonight in hopes of meeting up with me because I yet again crashed in Er'cana. I was able to play for four hours today with no problems. Logged off and went to do "surface" stuff for a few hours, came back, went back to Er'cana and bam! Now Game Tap won't even let me back into the game. I submitted a ticket last week. Many others are having the same problem. It's sooooo frustrating! Big John, if you got back on at 9:30 to help me, I'm sorry I wasn't there. I crashed around 9:25, wouldn't you know? Gamenut, you're ahead of me so I won't be much help to you at the moment as far as gameplay is concerned. But I know Big_John, URUKat and many of the others have completed the age and are always happy to help.

Lark, Soot had the same problem last night and again this morning, but finally got on. Gamenut, you are correct that when their light came through the window it made circles so maybe that means something. for the pods. We fiddled with those pods for hours, and then finally gave up and checked the forum. Have fun

Shorah, all. Exciting news! I just finished my first rehearsal with the Cavern Choir. It's a really neat group with members from all over the world; U.S., Italy, Denmark, Netherlands, and Sweden. We're preparing for our Winter concert. We'll be performing holiday music from Spain, Portugal, Germany, France, Italy, and England. If you are interested in attending the concert, mark your calendars for December 16th at noon Pacific time. It will be at Eder Delin, D'ni Linguistic Fellowship Bevin. You can find more details at the choir website. http://linguists.bahro.com/domahreh/cavernchoir/performances.html

Thanks Chief! Renee, I don't think it would be except we sit next to each other. It did take lots of tries though. Under pressure my ability to navigate drastically declines. I'm a happy lady

Wow, L4L, that's very impressive! I can barely manage to press my one cloth and get through the door. Becky - we do use teamspeak for rehearsals although we didn't sing at all yesterday and I was told this is normal. Rehearsals are mainly used to talk about other aspects of the music like dynamics, pronunciation, and maybe run through a passage someone is having trouble with. Otherwise, we learn on our own, record our parts on our computers and send them to the director. Crazy, huh? This is the first SATB choir on the internet that we know of, so it's a bit of a learning process. The choir had their first concert in the winter. You can find us on MySpace now under "Cavern Choir" and have a listen. Or you can go to my MySpace profile (listed in my personal profile on GB.com) and click on the link in my friends. Renee - there is a plan to have a concert in Summer 2008 at the Concert Hall featuring all original music composed by explorers of D'ni. Pretty cool, huh? We're hoping the Hall will be open by then.

Congrats Celtic Lark! How cool is that? Is that you all on your MySpace site? That is really beautiful. Be sure to keep us informed on concert dates. Renee, The MOUL website has a list of Cavern Events plus a lot of other useful info on the game. It is the "Official" Gametap Uru site. The forums are a great source of info too. URUKat - thanks! The pics up on the Cavern Choir MySpace site at the moment are from the concert this past winter, before I was in the choir. I assume we'll have some new pics up after the next concert with the current members.
Renee - I'm assuming that the concert will show up in the list of Cavern events on the URU official site. If not, you can always check the choir website at the link I listed above in a post on July 1st.
Happy 4th of July, everyone!!!

Hi guys...well, back at it..Mods..a Spoiler warning maybe? i don't know how to do those. i was able to get 'a piece of the rock' via Er'cana..then decided to go and try and do the Pods. Luckily Urukat was on and helped me a bit and i did get Tetsonot Portal and go to the cave, touched the glyph, went into the void and .....CRASH! i logged back in....now my KI won't let me use it. says is full (is not..i am a pen/paper nut)..i can't open it. i can minimize it from the top left but that is all i can do. i went to Guild of Greeters to see if someone could help but no one could...and i could not see their replies if they were talking to me...very strange stuff happening! i did fill out a trouble ticket. fiddle-dee-dee ! I sure hope it can be fixed and i don't loose info or progress!...pfuii 'n here i was so thrilled to have seen a 'portal'!!! Thanks Urukat for the help! well, tried again to get into my KI and this time (still don't know how) i was able to get in and there were LOTS of things to delete. every time i access the thing there is a page entered i guess. ... ony had 6-8 pictures and no text entries.... pfuii. i will just have to remember to delete pages(i guess they are journal pages..??) when ever i open the KI. I wish it wouldn't do that! But i guess it was my fault and the thing was full, but still........i could not get into it to even check before...

gamenut, I kept getting lost in Minkata....even with the specific directions and times Good Luck with that one! My KI gets full too...I have to delete pictures every now and then. But it's never caused Uru to crash...weird. However, when the pod ages first came out, and everyone was catching the portals at the same time, I always crashed and had to wait another day for the next portal....(sooooo frustrating!) I think the list of people you see in your KI are all your neighbors (who belong to your Bevin). You'll see what age they're in - if they're online at the time. For example, it will say "Minkata", etc... When they're not online, their names will still stay on the list. I haven't seen you on yet...hopefully you'll be on when I'm on and I'll be sure to say "hi!"

I'm another who finds the KI rather hard to understand. Right now it is doing something with green markers and I'm supposed to get fifteen of them, have 13 so far! I guess that I'm doing something right but have no idea what. I don't know how or why it happened but I now have a bridge in my Relto that goes to one of those little islands. Also, have greenery growing, ivy and green plants, very pretty. I also have a dock/deck but nothing to go with it. Did a dance on it for fun, but otherwise it has no use that I can see. Oh well, I've signed up for a year with GameTap so I have a lot of time for learning about this game!

sierramindy, those pages laying around add certain things to your island (Relto). If you pick one of those pages up, you'll see your relto book blinking at the bottom of the screen...that's how you added your bridge and your ivy. Here is a little something on those green lights in your KI: If you've been to the Great Zero Antechamber (I think that's what it's called) - linking book on the far right bookstand, you've stuck your hand in something. Now you've activated one of the many marker missions you need to complete to gain access to the Great Zero (the area beyond that little window in the antechamber). When you're in the city, you'll see some round things floating around (they're invisible until you come up to it)....your KI will blink and the circle will turn red - meaning you've found one of the markers, but you have to click on it to register in your KI! Once you've clicked on it, the green dots will turn red - hope this helps without too much spoiling

Hi Renee, I guess I'm going to have to pay more attention to those Relto pages now that I know that is what they do. On the other hand, the total surprise of what suddenly happened to my Relto was really great. I couldn't believe my eyes, it was like magic had happened when I wasn't there. Seems like MOUL keeps coming up with something unexpected just about the time when I'm thinking of quitting. Maybe they have a mind reader on the payroll. (I need a smiley here, but don't remember where they are.)

Gamenut, If you get a lot of folks together to do those areas, you don't need lightening fast reflexes. There are a lot of ins and outs to learn, but as you spend time in the game and chatting with others, you learn more and more. That makes you more comfortable which leads to more playing and the great circle begins You can also get folks to go to your age to help you out if you need. Wandering around and solving it on your own is also fine.

Nice to be able to get into the game for a day or two (I have WiFi at this campground ) I had a chance to chat with Vivicus (our 14 year old neighbor from Sweden) about his recent trip. He is such a sweetie-when you see him online do say hello. He is very good at helping players. Has anyone (hint, hint) made any interesting marker hunts now that we can do that? I was playing around with a combination of setting up markers and using hints with that. What do you think? Hope to catch you all in the game! And if GameTap sends you an Email asking you to participate in a survey, please do. Lots of questions about MOUL at the end and useful for keeping us all going!!! (and you get a $10 gift certificate to Amazon as well...Win-win situation) Kate (Katva)

I would very much like to join in but I don't know how. One problem is that I get so confused I don't know where I'm at and for another I still don't quite understand the KI. Lately I've been trying to get somewhere on that train thingy in Ercana but the only place I've found is a ledge that has a broken bridge that I can't cross. I have 13 of the green markers for the Great Zero. I think I know what to do when/if I get all 15, and then work on the next 15. I have a linking book to Eder Gira, but not to Eder Delin or Eder Tsogal, if I understand my notes correctly. At least, OOC I know I'm in the Central Standard (Daylight) Time zone. Point me in the right direction and I will try and join up.

Oops, Becky, How do I get to the GameBoomers' neighborhood? I have the list with your KI number but I don't know what to do. I find it hard to make contact with other explorers. I see text and I try to answer but don't get anywhere except for a very few times when I actually did something right. Your 6:30 PM should be my 5:30 PM so I will go online at that time. Where should I go then so we can meet up?

As of right now, we're a little less than 1 and 1/2 hours away from the meeting in the GameBoomers Hood to try the group Ages Delin and Tsogal. If anyone who can be doorkeeper is available at that time, please come. Please?Hi Sierramindy -- at 6:25 I'll go into the Nexus and make the GameBoomers' neighborhood so it'll show up in the Nexus. You should be able to go into the Nexus and find the GameBoomers' neighborhood by scrolling through the various neighborhoods. If you can't seem to get that to work, click on one of the names in your buddy list that are currently online (they should appear on the left) and type in where you are and that you need help getting to the neighborhood. Keep doing that until someone responds. For Ki numbers that can go on a buddy list for contacting GameBoomers members and/or GameBoomers bevin members, click here.

Gamenut, I just signed on to see if I could get in, and did with no problem. It might be related to your change.
You could call Gametap and see if they can help, though I know they usually don't help with MOUL.

Hi gamenut, I've never been to the Greeter's Guild Bevin because I never know what help to ask for, or how to ask actually. I mean I don't know what I'm supposed to be actually doing at any time so I just kind of wander around trying to learn various locations so at least I know where I'm at even if I don't know what to do there. I do know about the Nexus and how to go places from there. Becky posted she will put GameBoomers' Bevin on the list so I should be able to find it. Oh, I'm also trying to find the last 2 markers to finish my first group of 15 markers. I found out that others cannot see my markers, they can only say where they found some, which doesn't help me since I have no idea where I was when I found any of my markers. Some of them I only saw the red light blinking on my KI and when I clicked there a green marker turned a brighter green. I didn't argue with it.

That was lots of fun last night. We make a great team! We'll be looking for you again Mindyjo....don't worry....lots of people have to try the door several times before they get it. Celtic Lark....still trying that "jump" in Ercana, can't get to the 3rd one yet. See you around the hood!

What a fantastic experience playing with a group. It was so exciting and now that it is over, I can say it was a lot of fun. At the time I was somewhat too tense to relax and enjoy. Made my mistake after going through the door because I thought everybody would be there with me and when I found myself alone I totally panicked. Silly me, I went racing around trying to find you all and fell into a hole without even seeing it was there. Then something rather neat/strange happened as I fell down a shaft that was filled with twinkly lights and I found myself thinking maybe this was the way to go (rather than a mistake) and at the bottom I would find a Wonderland (like Alice down the rabbit hole) or an OZ (like Dorothy from Kansas) but no, didn't happen that way, just found myself back in my Relto. In future, I must remember this is URU so there will always be cloths, stones, symbols to touch and I should keep my eyes open for them. Besides I'm still looking for the last 2 of 15 markers for the Great Zero so I need to pay better attention, I reckon. Thanks to everyone of you who were part of the group last night, you all were fantastic, and yes, the doorkeeper did a great job! Oh, last but not least, I'm very happy to have made it to the GameBoomers Bevin. I had been trying for some time, just not finding out how to do it.

Hey Sierramindy, I guess we should have told you what to expect when going through the door....sometimes we assume everyone knows what to do! BTW....the very first book on your Relto bookshelf is your link to Gameboomer's Bevin. All you have to do is open it and click. Don't worry...it is a lot to take in at once. But the more you play, the more you learn. And don't forget to ask questions, ask questions and ask questions! Everyone playing loves to help "newbies".

It was a great experience, and frankly, I'm glad I have to do it all over again because it was just too much for me to take in at one time. I certainly learned a lot and a repeat will help me get everything better organized in my mind. Any time anyone wants to do it again, count me in. When Chief was showing me where the cloth was I almost got lost in some very, very tall grass. Couldn't see anything, not even my avatar, just a green jungle and I thought then maybe I was done for! Fortunately, I did find my way out and was able to hang in there. I have to admit being alone after going through the door really did shake me up, it was totally unexpected by me. Looking back now I realize how much I overreacted to it. If I had kept my cool and took the time to really look around I probably would have found the symbol. Still and all, it was a big adrenaline rush at the time. More than I ever got from the so-called horror, ghost-filled games, not mentioning any names since I know they are favorites of many gamers.

So happy I chanced to be on to meet both Sierranmindy and gamenut! Please don't hesitate to click on any of our names in the hood list (when you have your Ki open, on the left) to"talk" to us. This hood is full of very helpful poeple and we all enjoy the game so much, it is a pleasure to go through an age with someone new. Urukat-first time as Doorkeeper and without a hitch! Very impressive!! Going in now and hope to see some of you there. Kate (aka Katva)

I was impressed with both mindy and gamenut-two real Uru pros in the making. The markers are not timed though, so you can do them at your leisure. If you stroll through the city and the suburbs (well, I think of the hood as the burbs ) you will notice your ki blinking if it is down on the bottom of your screen. Or if it is open, you will hear a small ping sound and see the red light blinking when you are in range of a marker. If you want help with them, give a shout! OK Becky,,,let's do a hint marker game! If you are interested in learning how the Door Puzzle works in Eder Delin and Eder Tsogal there is an awesome explanation of it here at this link: Door Puzzle Solution I basically learned by helping push cloths for other people so many times! I had to learn how to identify which symbol represented which number, then it's not so hard. The problem is that the sequence changes everytime you push the door and it is one of the few "timed" puzzles in Uru....I hate timed puzzles too Gamenut! Don't get nervous with anything in Uru......you can never be "killed" or hurt.....if anything happens, you just safely arrive back at your Relto to try again. Believe me....I have done many Door Runs where others did not find the symbol and it took several tries. It's all in the fun of trying.

And speaking of markers, I found my 14th green marker today so just one more to go and I can find out what happens next at the Great Zero place, forgot what it is called. I've found it several times and I think I have a link for it but will I find it when I really need it? I think I can, I think I can!

I'm thinking of a...mushroom marker quest. A Bahro glyphs marker quest. A wild critters marker quest. A "Kadesh has been here" marker quest.
Sounds good, Becky - the wild critters would be challenging!

Was just in our Bevin and saw the new pics. Looks like someone (URUKat?) figured out the jump sequence to get into the "secret" spot in Er'cana. And someone saw a nifty-looking animal, as well. I never sit in the Pod Ages anymore. I just don't have the patience. So thanks for sharing that pic so we can see what it looked like!

A secret spot in Ercana??? Egads! Oh, wait...you might mean the pic Borbaric took (and titled "What's the Matter, Horn?" If you mean the photo of the mountains, then you don't need a jump..you need a lift. If you want more of a hint, just ask! Kate (Katva)

Hey KatVa , It might not be a secret anymore. When I was first shown it, no one else I spoke to seemed to know about it. It's just a glitch where through a series of jumps you can get into the orange pit beneath the oven that cooks the pellets. I *still* haven't mastered it but looks like Kat managed it.
