Hi everyone! I was wondering if anyone could recommend a game for me to play next! I have played all of the Nancy Drew games and Delaware St. John. I have played many adventure type games in the past including Neverhood, All Monkey Islands, Syberias, Agon, Agatha Christies, even Kings Quests..etc. I like games that are akin to these types of games. I am having trouble getting the latest Sherlock Holmes though, so any other suggestions? Thanks! puppy

fishpillow, you can get the latest Sherlocks at InteractCD. There is a link to them on the top of the page highlighted in yellow.

The Awakened (latest Sherlock Holmes game) is really good! I would play that one next! Also, I recommend Runaway 2 - I'm actually in the middle of playing it right now, and find it really entertaining - not a difficult game to load and no bugs so far! Happy gaming, fishpillow wave

I'd also recommend Secrets of Da Vinci and Destination: Treasure Island. Great puzzles and superb graphics in both.

Jack the Ripper was good. It's 1st person, with you as a newspaper reporter in 1901 New York (JTR's crimes have been transported in time & place).

Have you tried the Carol Reed Mystery series (Remedy & Hope Springs Eternal)? They'll transport you to Sweden.

For Southern exposure, you can solve mysteries in Italy: "A Quiet Weekend in Capri" & the upcoming sequel, "Anacapri the Dream".

Actually, there are three Carol Reed Mysteries now:

Remedy
Hope springs Eternal
Time Stand Still

Edit:

You might enjoy games like Nibiru, The Longest Journey and Dreamfall as well as games like Delaware st. John or the Nancy Drew games. And maybe also games like Return to Mysterious Island and Voyage to the Moon or Journey to the Center of the Earth. There's a game out, called Paradise that you might enjoy, too. Paradise is made by Sokal, who also have 1-2 new games in the making, but I can't remember what they're called right now...

Maybe some other boomer can ??

/Karsten

I believe White Bords Productions (creators of Paradise and Syberia) are now working on Sinking Island, Aquarica and Nikopol. You can find out more here.

....and I played all three, Karsten... 3 treasured favorites, & I forgot* about one of them... imagine that! ... What waaas I thinking?? woozy

*Maybe I forgot because I bought the first two at the same time & played them-- one right after the other. So, it was kind of like one extended game.
