Is anyone else having trouble contacting these people? I've written to Tech Support three times since July 22. I purchased Scratches the Director's Cut in early July. It has only one disc; I need the update CD. Needless to say, I'm pretty frustrated at this point.

If you can help me find some way to contact GotGame without going through tech support (which, apparently, is unresponsive), I'd really appreciate it. I'd like to play this game at some point!

I've heard back from Got Game -- they ran out of CD 2 (the update CD). They are producing more as quickly as they can, and are hoping that shiptments of CD 2 will be going out to consumers within a week or so.

I received my copy of "The director's cut" about 3 months ago but hadn't opened it yet. Upon reading this, I just opened it, and voila! It contains only 1 cd - "Scratches - New - Director's Cut."

so, should I have another cd?

If yes (I got mine from amazon.com) how do I go about requesting it? I hope I don't need a receipt or something because I don't have it.

Hi ces, the game is on one CD and you can play it as it is.
However, there is a huge update to it, which you can either download yourself from here
http://www.nucleosys.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2153
or, if you have a slow connection, ask GotGameEntertainment for it on a CD. Use either of the abovementioned email-addresses and simply state that you would like the update for Scratches Director's Cut.

I was so excited to find a place where I could download it that I forgot to do something:

BTW - I downloaded the update - it took about 45 minutes for me, but I do have cable and a fast machine. I haven't installed it yet though because Hubby is installing Windows Vista, which will scrub all of my program files and saved games, next week. So I'll wait till that's over, and everything is reinstalled, before installing the Director's cut & the update. And I probably should finish 1 or started games . . .

I have the original Scratches. Will this update work with that or do I have to get the Director's cut which if I understand correctly is essentially the same game? Mainly if I reinstall my Scratches original will the update take? Thanks

Me again! I STILL have heard nothing from Got Game Entertainment regarding the update disc for this game. My initial request was dated July 22. Since then, I've written several times and also tried the email address that Looney4Labs provided. Still no response. According to Becky, the company ran out of discs. That's understandable. What isn't, however, is that there is no communication at all from the company. It's terribly frustrating.

Becky, I hate to bother you, but you seem to be someone who can "get through" to these people. Can you encourage them to answer their correspondence? I'm willing to wait a few more days (weeks?) for the new shipment of discs, but I'd certainly like to know that eventually I'll get one so I can play the game. Actually, all I'm really asking for at the moment is the simple courtesy of a response from Got Game Entertainment.

Thanks a lot, folks, for listening to my rant and for any help you can give me. I don't know who else to turn to....except my GameBoomers friends.

Cappy, given GotGames track excellent track record on answering emails, is there a chance your Internet Provider has marked it as spam and isn't letting their responses get through? I have Comcast and they do it all the time. YOu will not be aware either because they do not tell you if they blacklist them.

Thank you both!!! Ana, I did wonder if my emails were getting through. I have AOL and there's no indication that the mails were rejected, but I guess that doesn't mean they actually got to their destination, huh? I don't know how to correct the problem. Maybe it's happening to other emails from me, and I am not aware of it. Not a comforting thought.

Thanks for your help, too, Becky. I really hated to bother you but couldn't think of what else I could do. I was aware you had contacted them in the past, so you served as my only "link" to them. I appreciate what you've done on my behalf.

Maybe I'll have to download the update. Not looking forward to that; but since I can't be certain about my emails, I guess I have no alternative.

Anyway, thanks a bunch for helping me with this.

i read where someone was having problems hearing back from gotgame , well i am too I need help with quiet weekend in capri I van't get the game to work after installing it, I get a runtime error message and have no idea how to fix this. The support for this game is done by the developers (I think).
Contact them at support@weekendcapri.com.
Also have you posted at the Glitches forum. If you do - post your computer's specs. Check the stickied thread on the top of the forum. - I see that you already posted at that forum. luck
