welcome to the Casual Forum. Please look over the following rules (post 1) Screenshot Instructions (Post 2) and Game Recommendations (scroll down to casual games) to get the most out of your gaming experience.

Forum Rules:

The Casual Gaming Forum was created to allow those of us who enjoy playing these little gems a place to be able to discuss them openly, report news and opinions on and share hints/tips and strategies on them. It was never intended to be a substitute for support from the download sites.

These issues will not be addressed here as they are best handled through the sites you downloaded from. GameBoomers has no affiliation with BigFish, RealArcade, SpinTop etc. and therefore cannot get special assistance for our members. We can only do the same thing you can, which is email them and check their websites for support FAQ's. Your correspondence directly with them will also help them improve their products by knowing what the issues are.

In general, a lot of problems regarding ability to run a game can be solved by downloading a trial first prior to buying. If you cannot run the free hour, you will not be able to run the game if you purchase it.

Here are a few support contacts. Please use these for your technical questions:

RULES FOR BETA TESTERS

Many sites have opportunities to sign up for beta testing of casual games and I know that many of you have taken advantage of the opportunity to be able to test and voice your opinions prior to release. Please remember that there are confidentiality rules for beta testing and announcing a game or discussing inside info of a game you tested prior to an official public announcement of release is not permitted.

Your cooperation on the above matters is appreciated and any posts not in compliance may be deleted at moderator discretion without further correspondence.

Thank you all for your cooperation,

Ana

If you are stuck looking for an impossible HOG item that is too tiny to see here is a tip to ease your frustration.

1. Take a screenshot and zoom in (thanks Looney4Labs)

a. Open Paint - click on start/all programs/accessories/Paint (you can access by alt-tab while most games are running, just remember the timer will still run)

b. Open the screen in the game that you want to copy.

c. Click the Prnt Scn button on your keyboard (Located in the upper right)

d. Close game if it's timed or Alt/Tab to the paint program and click on Edit/Paste

e. Select the magnifying glass on the left to enlarge the photo and use the scroll bars to move around. I prefer saving the photo to the desktop and closing Paint and then reopening the photo with Windows fax Viewer and zooming in and out with the scroll wheel on the mouse. Use whatever method that works for you.

If you are still stuck and can't find the item, many of us will be happy to help you find it if you post a link to the photo on the board. Please, in order to save bandwidth, do not post the picture in your post, just the link. To do so, you will need to host the picture on a website like Photobucket, which is free and easy to use.

1. Putting your screenshot on GameBoomers for help:

a. Add your photo on a site like Photobucket

b. Use the "full reply" on GameBoomers when posting

c. copy the direct link line from under your photo and click on the first (upper left) icon above the reply box.

d. Paste the link into the box and click ok. A new Box will come up. In that box you will type the description you want to appear on the board. Click ok.

All set!
