Arthur's Knights and the sequel Secrets of Merlin. There were a few people on GameBoomers apart from myself who loved these games, but in general the games got poor to mediocre reviews. I thought they were great. My only criticism of them now is that they don't take kindly to Windows XP in a lot of cases, unfortunately. I played them on my Windows ME and Windows 98 computers.

I agree Marian, I really liked both of the Arthur's Knights games.I think some of the review scores for these games was 4 out of 10.I liked Odysee search for Ulysses to ,although I don't know what score that one got.I have played some games that got a good review and went Huh,when it was over. For me it was A Quiet Weekend in Capri. When it first came out a lot of people didn't seem to like it. I got so hooked on it I played for hours every day. As more and more people played it, it seemed to gain in popularity. I can't wait for Anacapri.

Temujin. The reviews crucified it, and perhaps they were right to do so, but I perversely loved it.

For some strange reason, every game that i like, whatever the genre, seems to get not so good reviews. However some of the so called "greats" which got good reviews and i tried, i either uninstalled them in the first 20 minutes or finished them so that i would just finish them, and not particularly liked them.

I thought The Messenger was a great game!

It depends on the reviewer. There are some reviewers that have the same taste as mine (Mr. Bill comes to mind). Then there are others that are polar opposites. The worse they rate them, the better I like them, for the most part (Game something comes to mind). There are exceptions, the really truly stinker games that nobody likes. In short, games Are art, and beauty is in the eye of the beholder (or maybe the pocket book in the case of Game something). I think my preferences are known here.

What ever became of BJ (Saighman)? I haven't seen hide or hair of him in years.

For me the review was BloodRayne (very nasty review) - once again I loved the game.

I typically don't take much notice to the reviews. I read the storyline and if it sounds interesting I get it, however I do look at a review that tells me how well the controls work. If all reviews says the controls are horrid then I won't buy it.

I liked "Midnight Nowhere", but read a few negative reviews. It's a dark horror adventure game with some adult content, but it was entertaining to me and it had an interesting story - but again, I like those creepy horror games.
