Hi smile

Just wondered how many others feel as I do in that we have been SO lucky these last months with adventure game releases bravo

Even though I haven't played the majority of them myself yet I can tell from the comments getting posted here at Gameboomers that most of them are "goodies" devilchili

The Adventure Game Is Dead ??

What nonsense !! shame

Cheers.

It's making the wait for download only games easier to wait on. By the time they get to retail, I should be getting caught up. lol

Isn't that the truth! I was actually glad the other day to hear that two games were delayed until 2008.

The first adventure game I ever played was Sanetorium and then it was very hard to get your hands on adventure games here .It is a lot better now where I am but what makes it so much better is you can order from via the internet .I visit my som once a year in Sharpsburg USA and came back with loads of adventure games I had never heard of.North America seems to have so many more adventure games than in England .Where I live any way.So I say thanks to the USA for that and the good summers you have to .I still look around the computor shops in Pittsburgh and my son posts me some when he sees them .He knows what I like and even if some of these games ar nt brill in there grafics .The storys are good .Any way sorry to go on lol

you are very lucky dragonuk44. here in The Netherlands you can hardly get adventuregames. shopkeepers are saying no market for them. they only sell shooters and racinggames for the young people. there are a few onlineshops with adventuregames but we have to wait a very long time before those shops have the games. I have no creditcard so I cannot buy games in other countries, I do have paypal but most sites are only working with creditcards. I want to download sherlock holmes versus arsene lupin but frogwares and adventuregamers only have payment with creditcards not paypal. when friends are going to Germany they buy adventuregames but the games are always in German versions and I prefer English versions. I can read and understand German but English is favorite.

Hi Mad

Yes there is alot of new games and they look pretty darn good.My wife told me to slow down, and play the ones I've got.

Kinda sounds like a little gaming addiction going on here,Hmmm

Good to see the adventure games on the rise people, keep em coming.

I agree with you Mad, there seems to be games galore & I now also have quite an accumulataion of new games (never mind the old ones!)I just don't have time to play! I keep buying them anyway I worry that if I don't buy them when they are released I won't be able to get them later! - so I don't feel guilty! I remember a time when I was scrapping around for a game to play so it's wonderful really that there have been so many recently. But, yep! it's going to make me skint! & take a while to get through them all. lol

Thanks Becky for the list..
I'm lost over on the Darkside playing an RPG (they take forevvvvvvver)and I am always bewildered when I try to make sense of what adventure games I've been missing.
Thanks Gameboomers for holding our hands and pointing out exactly what we need for our BAAGS. "Here little girl, try this, one little game can't hurt you....oh look there's another one"

Well its not like you mean to...But its a little like sitting next to the pie case at the counter of Joe's diner...hard to resist.

When I'm on Gameboomers, I'm surrounded by games all saying "Me, buy ME next"...can't you hear them??!! When they get home, they sit in a pile saying "Me, play ME next" Surely that's why game players wear those earphones so they can consintrate on the game they are playing and not all the other games talking to them....right???!

lol Nipomo -- you've described the situation exactly! I shut out their voices by sticking them in cupboards and closing the door. Earphones would be just as effective, though. lol
