I have been on a real bender. I own all of the ND games and haven't played quite a few. Well, until recently that is. I had been sitting on a stuck puzzle in the Old Clock for a long time (the sewing puzzle) got some help from MaG and finally finished the game. From there I played the Crystal Skull and loved it then I loaded up Wolf Creek got yelled at one to many times for not cooking and cleaning, which I can hear in real life anytime, so I unloaded it. (I will try it again one day - I am dedicated.)

Then I played Kapu Cave, I enjoyed it, but it was definitely a newer Nancy Drew game (barely a note). Then I played Danger by Design, I had read that a lot of people didn't care for that one but I enjoyed it. It was short though, as was Kapu Cave. Loaded Blue Moon Canyon the same day I finished Danger by Design. Just finished it and have to say it was up there as one of my favorite Nancy Drews. I liked the puzzles, I didn't need much in the way of hints and the lack of tasks was great.

Well I've decided to play the rest, I'm going backwards, so It's off to Shadow Ranch as I've played the Blackmoor Manor (which was pretty rough, but might be one of my favorites after the Scarlet Hand) and the Old Clock.

Well if you're still reading I'll assume you've gone on Benders of your own. I love gaming, especially when I have a stockpile of games, don't you?

Stockpiling and then playing games all at once is a great way to spend a vacation (or any other time for that matter). It sounds like you're having a good time. laugh

A couple of Christmases ago I did exactly the same thing, chesnut. I had a pile of 5 unplayed ND games, and I played them all, one after the other, over the holidays. Had a wonderful time. grin

You'll enjoy Shadow Ranch, I think it's probably still my favourite ND of the lot.

I to have all of her games and played them all except (The White Wolf of Icicle Creek) I went back to playing it several times but couldn't get the hang of using the time. Everything had to be done at a certain time.

Keep at it w. White Wolf. You will eventually get to a point where Nancy gets excused from maid duty.

I just bought the $9.99 jewel case re-release of Treasure in the Royal Tower, which was one of my favorite older Nancy Drew's. I was pleasantly surprised to be able to install and play it with Vista, with no technical problems, so far.

With Crystal Skull, a brand new ND, I had a horrible time trying to install it with Vista, as the Auto Run window did not automatically activate. I had to open all the files on the disc, search for the SetUp and Execute and install it from there. After I got it installed, it ran without a problem, though. A fun game!

I am having a great time at the Ranch. I have always loved horses so I was excited to go riding, I only wish the horses were a little more animated. I like Tex, he's so surly.

Thanks for all the responses, I want to post here but I don't always know what to post about. I don't want to just ask for save games and then disappear.

Dragonuk44- so far Scarlet Hand was my favorite. I guess the Curse at Blackmoor Manor was my second favorite even though it was sheer torture. I just loved the pain...

Sumac I plan to play the Royal Tower again too. I look forward to the older ND's they were so much more involved. I hope to be able to avoid Vista eternally. I didn't even want to upgrade to XP years ago and probably wouldn't have if it didn't become silly not to.

Way to go chesnut! I thought I was the only one that was an avid ND game fan. I have the entire collection also. My favorite was Message in a Haunted Mansion which was # 3 in the series. My second favorite was Scarlet Hand.
