Hey every body have you tried the Blackwell games?

I´m writing a walkthrough for both games, so just ask if you get stuck.

And yes I just saw that there is already a post about the games, but any way I´m still writing the walkthroughs.

Welcome, Myst32,
Yes, I have found and played both Blackwell games and also the demo for The Blackwell Convergence. They are great games! It is true that they have a certain nostalgic appeal for those of us who played the old Sierra and LucasArts games, which I did and enjoyed immensely, and that explains SIERRA and INDY (for Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis from LucasArts) with the M to make it feminine. Having said that about nostalgia, I will add that the Blackwell series has an appeal that is strictly Dave Gilbert's vision for his games and it is very up to date and maybe even ahead of the trend in the way the storyline, the characters, the voices, the gameplay interaction and everything all fits so well together. None of that [blip] that you get where it is just filler to make a game last longer. These games have a very special appeal to my way of thinking and feeling about them. I hope your walkthroughs will encourage more people to play them.

Okay, I looked the word up in my dictionary and it isn't there so it is a slang word, but not as bad as that blip makes it seem. At least I don't think so, but then my imagination can run riot when something has been censored.

Oh yes, I loved both Blackwell games and I loved Shivah as well. I am looking forward to the full release of Blackwell Convergence!

I played The Shivah too and I'm hoping that maybe some day there will be a sequel to it. But only if Dave Gilbert feels that it is something he really wants to do!

Where can one find these games, I hope they are available in retail boxes and not downloadable. A link to the purchase site would be nice.

lexxy, the website is Here. I am not sure if they are down right now or if it's my internet. I am having computer issues and I cannot open the site. I believe the CD versions can be bought from that site.

Ana,
Thanks so much for the link which is working for me.I am off to purchase both games. It would be nice if I could find a trade here at the Trading Post but I doubt anyone who owns either one of these games would wish to part with them...thanks again for the link.

Myst32, Where can I find your walkthroughs for both games, are they a work in progress?

Ana, you are right. Click on Buy This Game. Then you will see a warning that you are buying a download and underneath that is an option to get the game on CD. Enjoy wave

right now both walkthroughs are WIP but the first (Legacy) is about 80% and will be posted this weekend, I hope to have number two up by Monday.

So if there isn´t already a post in the help forum just make one right now and ask, there is a couple boomers who have completed it.

I´m done with the walkthrough for Legacy and will be going to bed becuase it´s 03:22 in the morning here. But It´ll bee up by some time later today.

F.Y.I you can all google for the walkthrough for Bleckwell Unbound.
I wrote the Legacy walkthrough because the one I found was very short and some people just need the extra explaining of areas, rooms e.t.c.
