There seems to be loads of adventure games out recently in the last year or two and i havent really kept up. Im after some adventure games where its gameplay is not serious and not politically correct and is humourous with jokes and parodys. Similar to style of simon the sorcerer games. I have played some of sam and max episodes but thats about it. Is there any games out there that some of you can recommend to get? I did get el ammo or whatever it was called but didnt get into it really due to the engine used was so old and well just felt a old game.

I can't say I recall sarcasm, but it was funny. There is also Broken Sword 4 and Runaway 2 which had their humorous moments including sarcasm.

Any of the Discworld games if you can find them and Zork:Grand Inquisitor.

Carte Blanche has a lot of black humour and silliness, I'd say go for that one. It's a film noir type game, fairly short, but I really enjoyed it.

Have discworld 2 somewhere tho its hard to get working on xp.

Discworld Noir.

I would also suggest Al Emmo and The Lost Dutchman's Mine.

Played discworld noir, never completed it tho. Al emmo i said in my first post that i tryed and didnt like the old engine of the game as i would prefer something a bit more modern.

Try "Stupid Invaders". They land on earth and have to find fertilizer for fuel for their ship.Nuff said.

Skeeter they are not new but if you enjoy Simon the Sorcerer games you would love both Discworld games. Any Monkey Island game would be up your alley too. As for the newer games try Ankh, Runaway, and Tony Tough. I really liked the first two Simon games.

Skeeter the funny puzzle games have always been my favorite games. Every year when we do the list I always rate Discworld, Simon, and the Monkey Island games. I'm looking forward to getting Runaway 2 and Tony Tough 2. These are all older games but classics if your a puzzle/humor fan.

I hear they are coming out with a new Simon game that will be like the first two games. The third Simon was not my favorite.

I didnt like discworld 1 much but i liked the demo on the psx of discworld 2. I have played all simon games and loved em hence my search for more of the same. Played all monkey islands. Haven't completed the 3d one yet as i kinda lost interest in that one.

Fable if thats the point and click adv game, i had and completed it. Grim i like alot but cant replay as wanted to due to crashes etc on xp. Day of tenticle was ok but completed it ok. Zac i duno, manicmansion complted on amiga awhile ago. Les Manley no idea i will keep an eye out. LSL games, yep loved all of them. Space quest welll i did have on amiga space quest time rippers or somit i got almost to the end i think but lost interest i think. Might try more.

Yep a new simon game is already made and out the door in germany simon 4. But not available to english yet but i heard from them that it will be available later tho duno when.

Game makers today seem more interested in sensational graphics and realism than a cute cartoon with a crazy mission. I think we can use a bit of both. I'd love to see more Simon the Sorcerer/Monkey Island games.

My son gave me a game a few years ago called FABLE but it was a cartoon type and I got about 1/4 of the way through and it froze. When I got a new computer it wouldn't play on it. It was also like Simon the Sorcerer but I don't thinks it's even related to the FABLE that's out now.

Shame as i really liked that kind of humor, a sarcastic up himself wizard in a nutty world is just heaven for me.

Try "The Feeble Files" its by the makers of Simon and is a very funny game.

I like The Feeble Files better than the Simon games. Played it twice. Will play it again some day. I'd rather see another Feeble Files than a Simon the Sorcerer game.

Hi skeeter22uk like yourself i loved Simon and i dont think anything can come very close to that humour apart from Monkey Island games as already mentioned, but i am finding Wanted: A Western adventure a little similar & some of the expressions the lead guy pulls reminds me of Simon

oh Gilbert goodgrape..forgot about that game, it was excellent and i loved zork too, one of my favourites to date, oh and discworld noir, i can still remember the little tune it made when another piece of info went in to his notebook i really DO need to get out more!
