That's the one, Bernard! I knew the second clue would give it away. smile

Yes, the second clue was a bit obvious but I really like it when people put some effort into the clues! smile

An easy one for the weekend:

Must be a Tex Murphy game. (Murphy's Law) I don't know which one since I haven't played any of them.

I child-proofed my home... but they're still getting in!

It's a bit of a slow weekend! Maybe I should open the lid a little, just enough to see what's inside the box? It's better when I do not!

Roses are red,
Violets are blue...
Or is it the other way around?

Thanks Shany!

Each clue refers to a word in the title of the game.

Clue 1: Quite, quite mad

Thanks!

Something easy so other people get a chance:
Probably the only game where must put someone's pet in the microwave.

Hmmm. I know a game where you can do that. I don't know that you MUST do that, though.

Could it be Maniac Mansion ? Just a guess, though...

Demosthenes got it! In Day of the Tentacle you must put a hamster into a microwave - a futuristic microwave that only revives it (after being frozen) and doesn't kill it.
You also get a warning against doing this in real life - something about being sent away I believe.

The scene is a homage to Maniac Mansion where you could put the hamster in the microwave, show it to it's owner, have him kill you as a result.

The disclaimer given in the game is, "That was fun, but only because this is the 22nd century. You see, kids who put hamsters in microwaves back where I'm from get taken away from their parents and put up for adoption, so DON'T DO IT."

I played through the game just last week, so I actually had a save lying around from just before that scene...

Anyways, clue #1: Should I head down towards the village, or up towards IACTOR_VILLAGE_JUNGLE_LEAVETO_CLIFF_DESCNAME?
