Mad, how I got a save to work...

I looked to see what the next save number would be. I downloaded the save to my desktop. I renumbered it while it was on the desktop, not in the profile list. Then drug it over to my profile list. It worked for me. I hope this helps. wave

Hi Rice burner and Koalanut smile

Thanks for responding thumbsup

Yes, I have done just as you describe. It is my standard procedure for adding a saved game.

I only appear to have one "profile" though .... Microids/Users/Profile 1 ....which is where all my save games are and where I dragged the new save to, once I had re-numbered it.

Should I have more ??

EDIT :
When I originally installed Dracula 3, I chose the middle gargoyle of the set to be my ID and not the first one in the line.
Would that make any difference ??

Cheers.

Mad grin

Hi Mad,

Your game folder profile will show up as #1 whichever gargoyle you choose. smile You'll need to check all the gargoyles in your load screen to see which one the save is in, then start a new game in that profile and load the save from there. luck

Hi Rushes !!

Thank you a million times wink

I launched the game, and hit the first gargoyle (instead of the middle one which I have always previously used) and .... Da-Da !!!! There was the new save bravo

All I had to do then was load it and I could play on - and I presume I just use that first gargoyle from now on happydance

Once again Gameboomer help has proved invaluable, thanks praise

Cheers.

Hi TLC smile

No problem !!

I'm just grateful for the help happydance happydance

EDIT 28th :
Have a weird problem now ....
I used the "after the blood tests" save, spoke to the prof on the phone, got out of the dispensary and went to the inn (saved just outside the door). Inside, I suffered choking effects eek which turned out to be from the garlic at reception. No opportunity to do anything about it though.
Went up to the attic to see if I could use the wax cylinder on the gramaphone - but not allowed.
Went on up to my room, opened the door - and at the first move I made, got blown up.
In fact which ever way I moved I got blown up rotfl
So, after a few re-plays from my save on arriving at the inn door and continually getting blown up, I decided maybe I'd better check the walkthrough grin
This told me that once I had opened my room door, I should see string stretched across from door to jamb.
Nope !! No string !! I've emamined every inch of that opened door and all I get is turning gears icon with the red line through - which signifies "no action can be taken" duh

Another look at the walkthrough and it appears that I have done everything I should have - just not in the same order shown.

Any available advice would be VERY much appreciated, thanks whistle

EDIT 2 29th :
No advice available from anywhere ?? cry

Cheers.

Sorry we missed your edit, Mad, sometimes they slip by us. Stacking is ok if approx. 24 hours after your original post. smile

Glad that you figured your way through your problem! yay
