Hi vampiredream, welcome to GameBoomers.

I added the title of the game to your thread. smile

I haven't yet started playing Drac 3, so let's wait for someone who has to drop by and help you.

Before you can enter the data, you have to do the procedure first so that the game will know those numbers.
The #4 Marked granulocytes testing is very picky. I did that 3-4 times on some samples before Arno accepted the number. Be sure to immediately check the readout of the #4 testing.

MaG: I did procedure 5 or 6 times - results same like in the table from walkthrough, but Arno don't akcept it. I don't understand how #4 is calculated :-(

Is this the procedure you're doing:

Procedure for second parameter: This is explained by the last page of Kruger's instructions.

Take the filament from the microscope with the marked cells and attach it back to top of the sampler.
Lower the sampler using the lever at left.
Press the - button to eject the marked cells back in the test tube. This mixes the marked cells with the unmarked cells.
Lower the sampler using the lever at left.
Press the + button to take a sample of the mixed marked and unmarked sample.
Take the filament and place it on the microscope.

-------Note the % marked granulocytes in the mixed sample. The icons should NOT be lit up. The readout is above the icons.

Place the filament back on top of the sampler.
Lower the sampler using the lever at left.
Press the - button to eject the marked cells back in the test tube.

It is now ready for the next sample.

Once you get the number similar to the chart in the walkthrough.
Then enter the Total # of granulocytes/ml on the second parameter/

Are you getting the same numbers for the first parameter (monos and polys)?

sorry for the double posting.

I placed the saved game where you told me to but it does not show when I load the game.

What am I doing wrong?

I placed it at the bottom of the saved game list at profile 1

Perhaps the file got corrupted could you resend it please?

Are you renumbering the save after having copied it into your game folder, slk? If so, delete it and start again: this time, save the file to your desktop and renumber it there. Then copy and paste into your Dracula folder. See if that works for you. luck

Hi deb,

I deleted the post that you made in the other Dracula thread regarding this same problem. smile

Did you follow MaG's post clarifying the procedure on the first page of this thread?

Can I get a save for after the blood test and being in the locked room, I cannot get the test to work even after imputing the correct results. It also will not detect the #4 Marked granulocytes even after I have done the test several times.

EDIT :
My lovely new save isn't showing up when I go to load it after launching the game eek
I did the usual .... re-numbered it to be the next save in line and then added it to the saves already there.
Do I have to do something else besides ?? woozy

Mad, how I got a save to work...

I looked to see what the next save number would be. I downloaded the save to my desktop. I renumbered it while it was on the desktop, not in the profile list. Then drug it over to my profile list. It worked for me. I hope this helps. wave

Hi Rice burner and Koalanut smile

Thanks for responding thumbsup

Yes, I have done just as you describe. It is my standard procedure for adding a saved game.

I only appear to have one "profile" though .... Microids/Users/Profile 1 ....which is where all my save games are and where I dragged the new save to, once I had re-numbered it.

Should I have more ??

EDIT :
When I originally installed Dracula 3, I chose the middle gargoyle of the set to be my ID and not the first one in the line.
Would that make any difference ??

Cheers.

Mad grin

Hi Mad,

Your game folder profile will show up as #1 whichever gargoyle you choose. smile You'll need to check all the gargoyles in your load screen to see which one the save is in, then start a new game in that profile and load the save from there. luck

Hi Rushes !!

Thank you a million times wink

I launched the game, and hit the first gargoyle (instead of the middle one which I have always previously used) and .... Da-Da !!!! There was the new save bravo

All I had to do then was load it and I could play on - and I presume I just use that first gargoyle from now on happydance

Once again Gameboomer help has proved invaluable, thanks praise

Cheers.

Hi TLC smile

No problem !!

I'm just grateful for the help happydance happydance

EDIT 28th :
Have a weird problem now ....
I used the "after the blood tests" save, spoke to the prof on the phone, got out of the dispensary and went to the inn (saved just outside the door). Inside, I suffered choking effects eek which turned out to be from the garlic at reception. No opportunity to do anything about it though.
Went up to the attic to see if I could use the wax cylinder on the gramaphone - but not allowed.
Went on up to my room, opened the door - and at the first move I made, got blown up.
In fact which ever way I moved I got blown up rotfl
So, after a few re-plays from my save on arriving at the inn door and continually getting blown up, I decided maybe I'd better check the walkthrough grin
This told me that once I had opened my room door, I should see string stretched across from door to jamb.
Nope !! No string !! I've emamined every inch of that opened door and all I get is turning gears icon with the red line through - which signifies "no action can be taken" duh

Another look at the walkthrough and it appears that I have done everything I should have - just not in the same order shown.

Any available advice would be VERY much appreciated, thanks whistle

EDIT 2 29th :
No advice available from anywhere ?? cry

Cheers.

Mad wave

becca, please be patient, we get to posts when we can. We are all volunteers here.

Which blood test are you having trouble with - the first (blood type) one, or the second testing with the filament? Do you want a saved game?
