Lost in the Arizona Desert
Hi all,

While looking for the release date of Divinity II, I decided to get myself acquainted with the Divinity experience and installed Divine Divinity again. It's been so long since I played the game that it's almost like playing a new game again. (well almost)

Anyway, my question is I don't remember how exactly to use the pyramid shaped stones called teleporter stones. I of course was given the first one when I went into the catacombs in the first town. Now if I drop it and use it I am taken to where the second one is and I have killed all the baddies there (Level 4 I think). Now my problem is that I have 2 stones laying on the ground and when I click my mouse on either I am teleported to the other. hardwall So, how do you pick them up and put them back in your inventory?

I did read the manual and it mentions picking them up but doesn't explain how to do it and I guess I'm just dense because I can't figure out how to do it.

If any of the old Divinity players remember the game and how to use the stones I would greatly appreciate some help. insane

Oldman, I'm supposing you've tried all the variations of left click and hold or right click and hold and drag?

I truly don't remember, though I do remember forgetting to pick them up from time to time and not realizing that until I needed to use them again eek

Edit: I found this over at JA:

If you simply click on the teleporter stone, you will "use" it. What you need to do, to pick it up, is open your inventory window, and then click on the porter, but with your mousebutton held down, - you then drag it into your inventory window.

luck

thank you Looney I figured it out. I held down the alt key while clicking on the stone and was able to drag it to the inventory. Once you get used to it..........?

Yep, I know what you mean. It seems to me that I could use the stones while in inventory too.

And don't forget--don't go to the castle until you've done everything else possible. wave

Well I finished this game again and really enjoyed it a second time. It had been so long since I have played it that I hardly remembered the game (one advantage of old age I guess smirk lol )

I just checked the Larian boards and it appears that they are shooting for a September release date for the English version of Divinity 2. Too bad I don't speak Deutsche as it is already being played in Germany. Anyway I am mentally prepared for the sequel. thumbsup crazy

Guess I'll catch up on some of my adventure gaming while I wait as I have a stack of recent releases to be played including Vampyre Story and Dracula 3 and more. Enough to keep me going until (and when) Divinity II is released.

If I feel an urge to darkside it I have Morrowind loaded (I'm finished with most of the side quests and starting to get serious with the becoming the Neverar guy) Plus I have yet to do the added quests for Witcher but the no voice thing kind of cools off the enjoyment.

So happy gaming to anyone who reads this long bit of nonsense.

Actually Looney I was able to keep my stones right up to the end. This time I remembered to pick the second one up every time. Better than I can say about my personal life. lol crazy
