Is there a way to compare the picture to the locket picture?

Hi JoeHardy,

I don't recall there being a way to do this in the game other than by looking at the two pictures separately and seeing the similarities. smile

We can't get Doctor Constantine to talk. I knew I am missing something but I have no idea or Countess Helena either

At what time can you not get the Doctor to talk? You have several instances that you should talk to him.

Hi helpy, welcome to GameBoomers.

Check this old thread HERE where a member had the same problem, and see if it helps you.

It's very important in this game to examine all picked up items closely in inventory, to check for additional information, fingerprints, etc.

luck If you still have problems let us know.

Hi xkatelpx,

This game is very picky about evidence being examined thoroughly. To be absolutely sure, re-examine Ratchett's hat in your inventory and see the Rev. 13:18. Then check the documents in the scrapbook for the bible passage which mentions 666. Those are the triggers you need. Now try the safe again:

Turn by placing the cursor on the left of the dial of the safe (counterclockwise) and click to get 6 under the line.
Place cursor on the right (clockwise) and click to get 6 under the line.
Place the cursor on the left of the dial of the safe (counterclockwise) and click to get 6 under the line.
The safe is opened. 'I think I heard a click.' Turn the handle.

luck and let us know how you get on.

Yes, it needs to be exactly on the 6.

There are some saved games HERE you could try. #19 or 20 look to be the ones you need. Hopefully that will get you past the fiddly safe.

You don't extract them - they are not compressed.
I sent the files as individual ones.
So renumber them as I stated in the mail as the last numbers in your saved game folder.
Place them together with the rest of the saved games in the saved folder. This folder is inside the Murder on the Orient folder.
Then close all folders.
Play-load as usual and let the game open them - not you.

I am having the same problem with opening the safe. I am using the 6 from 60. Is this correct? I couldn't open the link to see the saved game. I am trying to line up the 6. I have tried putting the cursor right on the middle line, the 2 lines to the left, the # line after 5. I am getting very frustrated - so close to the solution of the game. Evil Under the Sun was much easier.
Thanks for any help. It would be very much appreciated.

welcome

Be sure that you have: In inventory, look inside the hat of Ratchett and see the Rev. 13:18.
Look at Greta's bible. Check the documents in the scrapbook. See the last sentence of the bible passage - '...and his number is Six hundred threescore and six - 666'.

The combination is 666.
So place it on the 6th line from zero.
Counterclockwise, clockwise and counterclockwise again.
Check the picture below to see where the 6 lies. It is the one under the arrow.

Thank you, thank you. I finally opened the safe and completed the game. Evidently, I just wasn't getting the cursor on the number exactly.

Wasn't sure if I should start a new thread for my question on this game, so here goes. I listed through the doors to the various conversations, got caught by Michel, and followed the steps until re-entering my cabin and talking to Greta.
But nothing happens then - no avalanche. Did I miss a step somewhere?
Thanks!

Have you been to the baggage car already? You should follow or shadow Michel there.

Check all the cabins then again and then back to your room - maybe something will happen to loosen the stumper. Also double check all the items (descriptions) in your inventory and read any documents. Keep us posted.
