Didn't think to check out Moby Games. Even though the translation is hard to understand I can get enough out of those German reviews and scoring to at least keep this game on my radar.

This is great news! I've been wanting The Book of Unwritten Tales for a long time now. My only concern is that my computer may not be able to play it.

Does anyone know what the specs are?
I have an XP system, P4 with hyperthreading, 3.2 with 2 Gig of Ram and an Nvidia 7900GS card.

Tried to find info on Amazon, Tac and Dreamcatcher, but couldn't even find the game on TAC and Dreamcatcher.

Edit: Nevermind, I finally found the specs and I CAN play it! This is one I will be getting as soon as it is released!

I think that there is a game called: Destination: Treasure Island that is not the same as Tresure Island. And one of these (Destination: Tresure Island) has been released in Germany? I think.

Karsten -- Destination: Treasure Island has been released in several countries, including the US. It's something of a sequel to the plot in Treasure Island (the book). You can read the GameBoomers review of Destination: Treasure Island here.

Treasure Island (the game TAC will be publishing) has been released in Germany, and (as far as I know) only in Germany so far.

There was also Muppet Treasure Island, which was an entertaining children's PC game based on the Muppet's movie version of Treasure Island (the book).

There may be even more game versions that I haven't stumbled across yet.

Mad and Greyfuss, I have also had confirmation that the Treasure Island I ordered is the game we have been discussing here and not a book.
My order is being processed and will let you know the outcome, and yes! heads will roll or someone will be walking the plank and saying 'hallo' to Davy Jones if it turns out to be a book or worse still, some kind of pirate version.
