Somehow I have lost my saved games and I am now going to start a new game. Will your saved game apply?

This is the second time I have lost the whole game and had to start over. When i look into My documents for saved game, I see only "Ramson of the seven ships". addint your sent game destroys all. What can I do. I have Vista OS

I don't show a saved game in My Documents. However, I have Ransom folder . Which I move to desktop. Then drag your sent saved game to this folder. When I go back to play game ther is no saved game at all and I must start a new game. What am I doing wrong? This has happened twice.

Betty, don't move your Ransom folder to your desktop - that is what is causing the problem.
Leave the game folder in My Documents. The only file you need move is the individual save file that I or MaG e-mailed to you. Save that individual file alone into the Ransom folder in My Documents. Then exit all folders, start up your game as usual and load the new save.

I am scared to make the move but I right clicked the game you sent me about coconut game , selected "copy". Opened My documents right clicked Ramson of the Seven Seas and selected "Paste". Opened the game to resume playing. However, had not moved on after the coconut trow game.

You are really helpful to keep helping me and I do so appreciate it. When I right click saved coconut game(from my game) there is no "paste". The save you sent is on my desktop. I right click and select "copy". right?

Copy and paste may not work the same with Vista as it does with XP, Betty. Try left-click-dragging and dropping the file into your game folder instead.

I did as you told me above and again when I opened game I had nothing to load. Should I just give up. I don't mind doing the game again but wish I didn't always loose it.

Is the game folder now in your Documents folder? Do you see any save files in the folder?

Yes, I have three saved games, battery, rock climbing and at one of the beaches. Not the one with the monkey which is my last saved game before I dragged your game over to the folder.

And none of these saves are showing in the load screen when you start your game up? Let's try one more thing. Move all of those saves out of the game folder, and put them either to your desktop or in your main Documents folder just for temporary safekeeping. Now start up a brand new Ransom game, and save once at the very beginning. Now exit out of the game, and look in your game folder - you should have just one save in there, the one you just made. Replace the saves you previously moved, back into the game folder. Do not move the game folder itself to any other location. Now start up the game as usual, check your load screen and see if your other saves appear.

I did as you suggested. After reloading the saved games I started the game and the reloaded games were there to play but not the one new one I had just made (at the beginning of new game)

Very strange! At least hopefully now you can carry on and play without having to start over from the beginning again.

I can surely do that. However, I can't seem to get game to accept saved game you sent. As soon as I drag this to folder to enclose. I loose that save and the one before that.

Since I am not able to insert your sent game into my game maybe I should just keep trying to win the coconut throw game. Any hints about that?

I'm having no luck with the coconut game. I saved the game you send awhile back to a new folder. In my documents I dragged Ransom game to bottom of document page. Then I dragged the new folder with your game to the bottom of the page on top of the other game. No success to move on in the game.

I couldn't find the Easter Egg so just moved on. got the banner for Johnny. He gave me battery. I talked to CouCou about his perch after decoding the portion in El Toro's journal. I went to all the beaches but could not find a piece of driftwood. Somehow I have missed something. Any ideas?

Did CouCou say that she wanted a driftwood perch? Feed her a guava and she'll tell you, then you should be able to find the driftwood on the beach.

I have found five different driftwood branches to Coucou and she refuses them all. I haven't been able to find the sixth piece even though walkthrough says there are three at one of the beaches--can't find it.

Take a look at THIS YouTube video, it plays through the sequence with the perches, and hopefully will show you the location you are missing at the beach. Let us know how you get on.

You're very welcome. :smile12:
Have you read the journal page which mentions the diving at Blue Hole?
You'll need a glowstick to dive, if you haven't one already. Speak to Johnny, he can help you.
