"It is difficult to say who do you the most mischief: enemies with the worst intentions or friends with the best." --
E. R. Bulwer-Lytton

Jacob, age 92, and Rebecca, age 89, are all excited about their decision to get married. They go for a stroll to discuss the wedding and on the way they pass a drugstore. Jacob suggests they go in. Jacob addresses the man behind the counter: "Are you the owner?"

The pharmacist answers "Yes".

Jacob: "We're about to get married. Do you sell heart medication?"

Pharmacist: "Of course we do."

Jacob: "How about medicine for circulation?"

Pharmacist: "All kinds."

Jacob: "Medicine for rheumatism, scoliosis? "

Pharmacist: "Definitely."

Jacob: "How about Viagra?"

Pharmacist: "Of course."

Jacob: "Medicine for memory problems, arthritis, Jaundice?"

Pharmacist: "Yes, a large variety. The works."

Jacob: "What about vitamins, sleeping pills, Geritol, antidotes for Parkinson's disease?"

Pharmacist: "Absolutely."

Jacob: "You sell wheelchairs and walkers?"

Pharmacist: "All speeds and sizes."

Jacob says to the pharmacist: "Good, we'd like to use this store as our Bridal Registry!"

A man worked in a post office. His job was to process all mail that had illegible addresses. One day a letter came to his desk, addressed in a shaky handwriting to God. He thought, "I better open this one and see what it's all about." So he opened it and it read:

"Dear God, I am an 83 year old widow living on a very small pension. Yesterday someone stole my purse. It had a hundred dollars in it which was all the money I had until my next pension check." "Next Sunday is Easter, and I had invited two of my friends over for dinner. Without that money, I have nothing to buy food with." "I have no family to turn to, and you are my only hope. Can you please help me?"

The postal worker was touched, and went around showing the letter to all the others. Each of them dug into his wallet and came up with a few dollars. By the time he made the rounds, he had collected 96 dollars, which they put into an envelope and sent over to her. The rest of the day, all the workers felt a warm glow thinking of the nice thing they had done. Easter came and went, and a few days later came another letter from the old lady to God. All the workers gathered around while the letter was opened.
It read:

"Dear God, How can I ever thank you enough for what you did for me?" "Because of your generosity, I was able to fix a lovely dinner for my friends. We had a very nice day, and I told my friends of your wonderful gift. " "By the way, there was 4 dollars missing. It was no doubt those thieving b------s at the post office."

How is everyone doing today?

I haven't looked in the mirror yet, so I don't know how I'm doing.

Either I'm still alive or or muscle cramps and joint pain don't improve much after death. smirk

I may have to wait until next payday to know for sure.

They say nothing is certain but death and taxes, so if taxes are held out of my check I'll know......for certain. thumbsup

There is one thing that kinda makes me think I'm still probably in Oklahoma. headscratch

I hear cows mooing. cry

Of course that could mean something else, but I'm not even going to consider that possibility. shame

Have a heavenly happy day everyone.

wave Howdy ho, Joe! Funny, funny openers! I hear cows mooing. Hey, Joe, between the ages of 10 and 14, I lived on a ranch, where my dad had 10 acres, raised cattle, had some chickens and horses, and he did this just for fun. He was a cop by trade. I used to ride our horses bareback and run through the manuer, barefoot, after a rain. (My mother loved that....NOT! lol ) Your 'cows mooing' brought back some really fond memories... kissy

Darlene that sounds like a great childhood. Thanks for sharing.

Good Morning Boomers:

I enjoyed my slug day yesterday immensely, but now I'm off and running again today with a dozen things to do. Yesterday at WalMart, I was going down the baking aisle and I found triple berry muffin mix. I got so excited and my Sis and BIL informed me it had been on the shelves for at least 2 years. I parked the cart and immediately chastised them at length for not telling me. We could have been enjoying triple berry muffins all this time if I had only known. It was funny, but I guess you had to be there.

Hi Joe, you snuck in while I was posting. I like Farm Town and Farmville also. When I get some time, I need to redo my whole farm on Farm Town. I finally made level 34 and can buy a mansion and retire to a life of leisure. I still need one more neighbor before I can expand on Farmville. Any Boomers who want to invite me?

Hey Scarlet. I've decided to concentrate on Farmville only. It's enough for me to keep up with.

Send me an invitation. I'll be happy to be your neighbor. I could use more neighbors too. thumbsup

Good morning My9. Good luck with daughter and grandkids. Sending a prayer for you and them. yes
