Hi guys, it's Tuesday and I'm up. The seconds are crawling as I'm waiting for a call from the Vet School.

My Solo has lung cancer. He is at the oncology specialists at the vet school. They are running tests to confirm that the cancer has not spread to other organs. If they find that it is contained in the right lung, they will remove the affected lobe. He will then be there at least til Friday. If there are no complications, we can go get him then. Of course, if there are complications, it will be longer.

They told us yesterday that w/o surgery, he had maybe a month, but that with the surgery, the mean survival time was 1 year and that his quality of life would be greatly enhanced. I hope they are right.

This house feels soooo empty right now.

While we were there someone brought in an enormous Newfoundland. It was black and white and sooooo cute! I want one! Hubby thinks I've lost my mind.

Darleen, can you start sliding Rosie's wake up time back? My guys all get up when I do be it 5 a.m. or twelve noon. I also don't feed them till we've all been up for at least 2 hours so they've never gotten into the "Let's wake mom up for breakfast" mindset.

Son will be happy to hear the Yankees lost. My mom was a big Yankee fan so everytime son says he wants them to leave, I feel my mom looking down in outrage

I was expecting a parcel today which didn't arrive, when I did parcel tracking it was apparently delivered somewhere at 3.15 & signed for by "Williams". Phoned the parcel depot & they say it all looks iffy & my parcel has prob been nicked. It was worth a lot of money ...
The strange thing is I found out the parcel depot is literally next door to my place of work. They will call me tomorrow morning. Very disappointed.

I just talked to the Doctor. Solo has bone cancer, not lung cancer. Bone cancer has a much less favorable prognosis. They would have to remove 5 ribs and even then, they don't think he'd survive the operation.

We'll pick him up tomorrow afternoon and try to enjoy every second we are given.

Got home about a half hour ago. It is a cool beautiful day. At least the sun is shining. Waiting for Kirkwood Heating and Cooling to come check out our furnace. The fan sounds awful. Gotta get that fixed before cold weather moves in.
