We have tried to install the above twice and both times it runs out of time before we can get it fully installed. Please help!!! We have dial-up, could that be the problem? We have Vista.

If you have dial-up, don't do a net install. What version of Windows do you have? You may not need it.

Hi wink

You'll find a direct link to the redist. version of Direct X from August 2009 here

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/detai...b1-442d8712d553

This is a downloadable version of the dirext x 9 from August 2009. Just download it to your computer's desktop (save). After you've done this - you'll need to install it by clicking on on its icon)

You may or may not be succesfull, since Vista comes with Direct X 10.

Thanks Karsten for your help, but this still takes forever to install. Also when Collector asked me what Windows I have I'm not sure what to answer, because you see I am a bit of a computer dummy. I've been having trouble playing some of the newer games I have installed. I thought I would never get through with the latest Nancy Drew because it kept shutting the computer down saying there is a error in the hardware or software. When I try again to play it, it plays on through. Thanks for listening and maybe you all have other suggestions.
