Good Morning Boomers: I was too tired to cook last night when I got home from work, so I just heated up a can of soup. I woke up hungry this morning and got the family motivated. Sis fried bacon, BIL made coffee and toast while I fixed cheesy scrambled eggs. Whew, now I feel much better and can face the day. There's nothing like the smell of bacon and coffee to start the day out right.

High five Midge on the sale of your house. Just remember, you sold the house, not the memories.

Soot and L4L, I share your pain. Bless you for not letting Solo suffer. We'll dedicate Joe's opening this morning to Solo's memory.

Ok, I'm back!

Thanks Joe for the jokes puppy What kind of new shoes did you get?

Darlene, is it Monday yet?

Thanks Andrea. Hope your day whizzes by and you'll be home to WoW in a nanosecond.

Gerry, I'm with you--Joe always starts my day with a laugh. Hope you get to laugh all day

Cailyn, thanks, hugs accepted and returned.

Connie, hope the errands go quickly and at least some of them are fun.

Thank you for your hugs. I filled 'em up and am sending them back to you.

Will be lifting Sandy and Son up. Please do let us know.

Cinnamon bun or bacon sandwich--that is a hard choice--maybe I'll just take one of each wave

Thanks Gail. Happy gaming.

Midgy, I'm so happy your house sold. I know it's been a long time for you.

When is closing? Where will you be moving?

Thanks for the hugs. We'll repackage them and send them back to you. That's the great thing about hugs--they never wear out.

Thanks Darleen, sadly, we did have to do it the other way. He was shivering (stupid me thought he was cold) and then when I tried to give him some meds, his jaw was locked shut.

I called my vet who said that was because of pain. That was when I knew it was time. So he met us at the clinic and we were all with him as he very peacefully went to sleep. He had his favorite ball and his favorite humans and he just slipped away. I know I'll see him again.

I've got much cleaning to do too--but I wouldn't take bets that it is actually going to get done today. Have fun!

Nan, do the pumpkin's like the frost?

Ana, send the paperwork here. I'll accidently leave it out and Lil Soot will destroy it for you and you can truthfully tell your employers that the dog ate your work. lol

Scarlet, have a great day!

L4L, I can just let Max have my papers here. lol Good idea except I work in a no excuse environment. grin

Good morning Soot. Glad you got to sleep in some. I missed it somewhere. You're taking another trip? Maybe to visit your parents? yes

Good morning L4L. wave

I got some Sketcher shoes at Sears on my day off. I just took the inserts back out that I had put in them to see how that might help. yes

Ana I hope the new construction comes back soon and you guys can start rehiring people. happydance

I'm trying to find the reason that our vent hood and microwave are not working, as of yesterday. smirk I have been checking breakers, and cannot figure out why they're not working.

L4L and Soot, so sorry to hear about Solo. At least he had a great life and you were with him till the end. Consolences and hugs.

Joe, loved all the cat/dog jokes today. I'm sending my sister the entire slew. She has two strange cats and will really enjoy them.

SHOWER. I showered! I'm clean clean clean. Finally got the floor to dry after two days of coating and roasting with the space heater. Tentatively tried it out last night and it's amazing how the sealing changed the water pattern going down the drain. Before, forever, the water went directly down and nothing puddled around my feet. Now I am standing in a small puddle (which disappears quickly) but I never had anything standing. So, that clinches it, the gaps in the grout were allowing all the water to flow directly THROUGH the tiles into the cement footing! Oh dear. In a week or two I should know if the floor and wall studs are drying out. Guess all the earthworms and slugs and other creepies who were eating the rotting wet wood will have to find other food sources now. It's only been 30 years of leaking into the floor and subfloor. Thank goodness for study built old houses. Even major water damage doesn't faze them. Eventually I will have to assess the total disaster area and maybe do a little stabilizing. Then patch the oak flooring and it will be like nothing ever happened. Hope it dries out fast and I have solved the problem for now.

Since her hubby recently passed away, Sister just sent me her 'power of attorney' papers for regular and health stuff. Her step daughter who lives a little closer is first on the paperwork and I'm second. Now I actually have a phone number and address for her step daughter and she has mine. So then I asked if sis had put 'Emergency' contact numbers in her purse? She had never thought of that. So now she's typing up the identification stuff so just in case, someone will know who to contact. So funny. Sister is so smart sometimes and so not at others. Or am I talking about me? rotfl
