I'm thinking of uprating my Nvidia 7900 gt to a Ati 4770 Graphics card and I'm wondering about power requirments. My Win power delivers 750 watt with 18 amp on 12v1 rail and 21 amp on 12v2 rail. I'm told if these 2 rails are within tolerances than this supply would be acceptable

I would think a 750 watt power supply could handle a single 4770 card.

The requirements are listed here
http://ati.amd.com/products/radeonhd4700/requirements.html

Quote:
450 Watt or greater power supply with one 75W 6-pin PCI Express® power connectors recommended (550 Watt and two 6-pin connectors for ATI CrossFireX™ technology in dual mode)
