No official press release yet, but among the news published today on Frogwares Official Site is the announcement that
Quote:
A Sequel to Dracula Origin is in the works. Graf Dracula survived the last encounter with Professor Abraham Van Helsing, but he has now to fight to recover his full power. In this episode you will play as the Prince of Darkness, fighting your old sorrows and the competition of a fierce challenger to survive.
Venice, Paris, London, are on your agenda for this new adventure. Warm Blood will be your best friend, Garlic and stake your worst enemies!!!

A couple of artworks are shown, so let's hope to know a little bit more about this new adventure!

UPDATE: the game will be a casual adventure.

Plus, Sherlock Holmes vs Arsenio Lupin Remastered Edition is Gold!! The game is now proposing a 1st and 3rd person perspective, the help system as Sherlock Holmes versus Jack the Ripper and includes a progressive walkthrough if you are stuck. Game Graphics benefit latest graphics improvements of our engine as well as sounds.

Man, that gives me the creeps to think of playing Dracula himself, the GOOD creeps. I can't wait, but I guess I'll have to because unlike Dracula, I can't just fly out of the window, go the my lair, hide in my coffin, and sleep until the new game is out. grin

Playing as Dracula sounds interesting. I can't remember any game where you played as Dracula. As other vampires maybe, but not as Dracula himself.

And I'm glad to hear the remastered Sherlock Holmes vs Arsene Lupin hasn't been forgotten. I'd like to be able to finish that game.

Didn't like the ending of Origin, though I realize it made sense for Dracula to survive given the title. I'm more interested in sequel to A Vampire Story.

How long is usually the wait time from "gone gold" to release?

Uh..... sort of depends. Usually a few weeks for the disk version? For a download -- a few days?

Sounds good, although I am a bit worried about the title of those screenshots (the "casual" bit). think

lol I noticed it myself too Pollo, and I was hoping it's just a mistake because the news on the site above Dracul Origin is a casual game.
I'm waiting for more official news...

Unfortunately for us looks like it will be an adventure-casual, not a long length adventure game, still very interesting but... cry
