Yes, has been repeatedly doing and redoing the Mixer puzzle following the prism puzzle as per MaGtRo's w/t but somehow it didn't seem to work - I mean no drawer opened with the key in it - is this supposed to happen?

Thank you so much for your help with these solves, Jenny - without your solves I'd never, ever, ever be able finish this game.

Thanks for getting me past these other buggy/frustrating puzzles, Jenny.

I think the key is supposed to appear in one of the beakers. Did you not see it there?

No, don't think so. Any idea how many beakers there is?

I moved the Glitches forum postings that have hints help and merged it to the Hints forum thread. It facilitates archiving or search for future Celtica help.

Please use Hints forum thread for non tech-game help postings. Thanks.

Thanks, but how is Jenny100 going to notice it since she's way down in Glitches/Bugs/Patches?

I posted for her at Glitches to check here - if she wants to.
She can also be notified - if she wants to.

This is the way this forum works: Hints are here, tech supposrt is there.
Having mixed postings in a forum is messy and confusing.
We do try to keep the forum clean and easily accessible to all. Like those wanting to do a search for Celtica hints help later on.

Cruise02,
I've sent you two saves, one with the key in the center beaker and one after taking the key.

I had to make the saves on my 233 MHz computer. In Virtual PC, the game was freezing at the point where the key was supposed to appear.

It might have been a fast computer problem that could have been fixed with a PC slowdown program, but I was tired of messing with it and just used the old computer instead.

If this is the case, could the fact that I'm running the game in VPC be what's causing the buggy puzzles?

Regarding a fast PC, the netbook I'm running this game via VPC in has an Atom 1.6 GHz processor, but the game does not seem too fast (in fact, the panning speed/movements in the game seem normal like they should be). I do have a PC slowdown utility (Turbo), but hadn't used it in VPC yet.

My netbook's VPC specs says it has a Pentium 3 processor, 64 MB RAM and the game's spec requirements call for a Pentium 100, 16 MB RAM, so I really don't know if the game would benefit from using Turbo while running in VPC. If you believe running Turbo in VPC might solve the problem with the buggy puzzles, could you please tell me how to calculate the CPU speed percentage to set Turbo to?

Hi cruise,

Perhaps post your question over in the Glitches thread where Jenny is more likely to see it. luck

To Jenny100 -
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

Just saw the latest Celtica saves you sent me, Jenny - thanks again! Thanks especially for the prism puzzle save with the light coming from the mound - I was putting the game aside b/c I didn't know if it was possible to do a save of the solved prism puzzle with the beam of light showing. Now am going to reinstall the game in my netbook and proceed from the saves that you sent me.

Will still try Celtica in VMWare Player after I get my new PC, though - but for now, I'd like to continue playing it and getting saves, please.

Thanks again for your kind assistance, Jenny.

Edit 2 - Can't take the key in the mixer puzzle solve you sent me, Jenny - inactive cursor. Buggy puzzles are taking their toll?

The Prism puzzle was just a screenshot to show you what the glowing light looked like. I'll have to replay to make a save.
