I broke down and ordered 4 games from
Dreamcatcher Games Holiday Sale 12/23.
Immediately recieved order confirmation
and was told I would recieve shipping confirmation soon after.
Never have.
Anyone else order?

Dreamcatcher is very dependable, but notoriously slow in shipping. They also charge when you order and not when shipped. You will need to be patient with them.

I have the same problem, only I ordered on Dec 12.
I've emailed twice and never received an answer.

I ordered Treasure Island on 12-8 but it says it should have shipped on Dec 18. I have not received it.
Who did you email/talk to over at Dreamcatcher? I have a problem with one of the games - freezing/scratches Sherlock Holmes. I have had no reply from them.

Experiencing same problem. Ordered Treasure Island on 12/10/09. Confirmation was immediate along with credit card charge. Tried to contact customer support via long distance phone call(no 800#),which referred me back to formatted email on their website via recorded message. No response to date!
Any suggestions?

I was wondering if anyone else is having trouble getting the game from Dreamcatchers.

I ordered it on 12/19/09 and havn't received it yet.

I ordered Treasure Island on Dec 9

I thought I was the only one waiting for their games from Dream Catcher. I too was told that the ship date would be 18 December 2009. I have not received an email from the company addressing a delay. I have emailed them several times and have gotten no reply so I just sit here and wait . I ordered Treasure Island on Dec 8 2009.

I don't think anyone here has received the games they ordered through Dreamcatcher's "Holiday Sale."

They did answer my third email and said they'd just sent my games (ordered Dec 12), but unlike Donald's email, they didn't mention any "compensation" for the delay.

They have an email for questions about online orders on ***this page***.

Unfortunately I don't think the games will arrive during vacation time.

Update ,....... I recieved an email this morning informing me that my game was shipped 1/5/10 and it also added that there was no time frame on the delivery date, I take that to mean that it will get here when ever. I am just glad that it's on the way.

WooHoo, fun times are a comin!

I ordered a game from DreamCatchers in Oct/09. Said it was in stock and would take 10 working days.
One month later and no game. By that time, game was now on sale for 1/2 price.

Got game after 2 months and was charged the full price since they charge you the day of order, not day of shipping. Very bad practice.

UPDATE - Took Jenny's suggestion from yesterday's post and sent a second email to Dreamcatcher. Surprised to get a reply email confirming order was shipped today. Coincidence?

I have steered clear of ordering from the Adventure Co years ago... Before Interact was introduced at GB's I always ordered from them..

They ship games out very late after the game is on the store shelves They charge your credit card when the game is not shipped yet...

I just don't like how they do business with customers so I always buy from Interact..

As for me, I no longer order games from DC/TAC. I now get them from Amazon.com/ebay. But during the period of time from Jan. 2002/03 - Aug. 2003, I ordered 4 strategy guides and 1 game (back order) plus a game that was discontinued at GameStop and I don't recall having to wait long for my stuff to arrive.

I think the 40% off plus free shipping had a lot to do with why some people bought from Dreamcatcher this time around.

I've received notice that the games I ordered were sent, but they still haven't arrived.

-that or being snowed in at home like we are in England at the moment!

I received my Treasure Island game today! Looks good but runs a little slow but that could be me.

For those of you that have ordered and waited an unusually long time to receive this game, I have been told that you can expect (including me) a very nice compensation email from The Adventure Company to make up for the delay. I won't tell you what I was told as its best left for a surprise but surprised you will be.

I did not get any kind of compensation email -- only a notice that the order had (finally) shipped. Ordered Dec 12, received earlier this week -- took almost a month.

I ordered my game 8 Dec 2009 and got the confirmation email a few days ago but still no game.....maybe today. BTW what is this compensation that is being given to us?

I believe that unless Dreamcatcher approaches you personally, emails should not be shared without permission of the author. They may have a criteria for giving out compensation that not all meet and then there will be hurt feelings.

I am so glad I found this discussion on the forum! I just ordered 20 of the hint books to go with some of their games. I am experiencing the same thing as everyone else but feel reassured by your comments that hopefully my order will eventually arrive too! Oh, I also just received Treasure Island by Dreamcatchergames (The Adventure Company) this past weekend but ordered it from Amazon and was able to track my shipment the whole way and was notified by email when it shipped!

I ordered the Sherlock Holmes Chronicles and Sherlock Holmes VS Jack the Ripper special way back in December. I received the Chronicles, but not the SH vs Jack the Ripper. I have e-mailed Dreamcatcher online numerous times without a reply back. Does anyone have an e-mail address from someone at Dreamcatcher that might actually reply back to me and check on my order? It is almost April and I haven't received anything from them this is ridiculous. I will never buy online from them again after this.

I'm sorry Kevin, I have not been able to get any answers on other issues myself.
