Download Complete Trogdor Episode from Telltale’s Game Series Today only at www.trogday.com

Quote:
SAN RAFAEL, Calif. – January 13, 2010 – Happy Trogday, everyone! Seven years ago today, the beefy-armed dragon, Trogdor, first appeared on HomestarRunner.com, burninating the hearts and minds of audiences around the globe in the Strong Bad email installment, “Dragon.” In celebration of this momentous anniversary, Telltale Inc is giving away the very special Trogdor-themed episode of Strong Bad’s Cool Game for Attractive People for free at http://www.trogday.com. As part of this celebration, Telltale is also making the full season available for $19.95 (reduced from its regular $29.95 list price).

First drawn into existence through the artistic aplomb of Strong Bad, Trogdor is best known for terrorizing countrysides and burninating peasants and their thatch-roofed cottages at every available opportunity. Over the years, the green scaled menace has exploded in popularity, with devotees paying tribute through homemade offerings, including delicious Trogdor-shaped baked goods, Halloween costumes, custom plushies, and some pretty legendary tattoos.

"From the instant I drew Trogdor, I knew I'd done something special, something lasting,” said Trogdor creator and all-around awesome dude, Strong Bad. “Even cooler than that butt with three cheeks I one time drew."

In the Trogdor episode of Telltale’s game series, entitled 8-Bit is Enough, the beefy-armed dragon of legend has broken free of his arcade cabinet prison and is burninating Free Country, USA without remorse! With the help of classic 8-bit Videlectrix characters, Strong Bad must find a way to conquer the scorching menace and restore Strong Badia to its former glory. This episode is the fifth episode of the critically acclaimed five game series.

Even if you're not familiar with Homestar Runner / Strong Bad, this episode is a lot of fun for fans of the old 8-bit video games (Atari etc.) And hey, you can't beat free!

When I clicked on the download link (in the quote), my Verizon Internet Security program popped up and told me that I should not proceed onto the download site--that it's a suspected fraudulent web site. Since it's never done that before, I'm kind of hesitant to move forward.

Telltale is a reputable site. Lots of times there are false positives on certain antivirus. I have no problem logging on to them.

I guess it's just Verizon then.

I've been downloading from Telltale for years now with no problems.

Antivirus false positives seem to becoming more and more of an issue. frown How can you trust your antivirus program if it's frequently wrong?

I logged on to take a look ...knew I missed the one day. I was very surprised when at top left of the screen it welcomed me to the site with my full email addy!
I didn't like that as I have never been to that site. Maybe that was what Verizon was warning you about.

It is not possible for the website to obtain your email without you providing it. Telltale has made lots of games and it is very likely you downloaded a demo or bought a game and activated it.

Ana's right. (I used to work at Telltale and helped build the user system, so I know how it works!)

If you have ever signed up for their newsletter, or downloaded one of the other games they've offered for free, you would have registered then and provided your email address. Also the email address only displays because you're still logged into the site (with a stored cookie) - you can delete cookies for Telltalegames.com and it should go away.

If it's bothering you and you want to jog your memory, you can email support@telltalegames.com and ask them if they can tell you when you registered. They should be able to look at your user account and tell you the date you registered on, and also if any games are tied to the account (including the freebies). You can also see yourself if you have games on your account by clicking the Joystick icon in the upper right corner.
