I can confirm, that WOW plays just fine on Win7 Pro 64-bit smile

As for your link (thanks a million btw), I think it's spelled with two L's - so it's Allakhazam.com razz

Regarding ADD-ONS:
How many of you have graphical interface add-ons installed?
I'm thinking of something like nUI / fuBar / kgPanels or X-Perl Unitframes etc.
If so, I'd like to hear what you use + additional add-ons.
Your favorites so to speak laugh

I don't have the add-ons that you mentioned, but I do use these:

Auctioneer-Helps to sell items at the auction house.

Carbonite-Shows me where all my quests are located. There are many other add-ons that do the same thing as this one.

Bartender 4-Gives you more action bars for everything you need. I highy recommend this one.

Atlas and Atlas Loot-The first has all the maps for the dungeons. It also shows where the bosses are located. The only thing it doesn't do is show your location when you are in the dungeon. Wish it did. The second shows you all the loot that is dropped from the bosses and trash mobs. It gives you the chance to look at the loot you might want before going through and putting it on a wish list.

Ratings Buster-This compares items that you pick up to the ones that you have equipped. I think the last patch has put something like this in the game, but I still use it.

Good question.

I have Auctioneer, Tom Tom, Bartender, X-Perl, and Omen. wave

L4L, What does X-Perl and Omen do? Is Tom Tom like Cartographer?
I'd like to try Auctioneer. I subscribe to Curse for my Add-Ons, but only have Cartogtapher, Gatherer and QuestHelper.

X-Perl does a lot of customizing to the User Interface as far as displays of things like spell timers and raid and buffs and things like that.

Omen is a threat meter so if Soot and I are both attacking, I see how much threat he is drawing and how much I am drawing. As he is the Tank in the group, he needs to draw all the threat so if one particular shot of mine generates a lot of threat, I can drop it from the rotation on that NPC.

Tom Tom is like Cartographer. I used to use Cartographer and liked it better as I could use notes with it, but with the latest big patch, my cartographer coordinates were very wonky. So, I'm waiting for them to update it and then I'll switch back.

Thanks, L4L! Appreciate the info. I think this will always be a learning process, and all he help we can give each other is very much appreciated!
I have a huge problem downloading add-ons that I can't get via Curse. I have no idea how to put them in the game folder or where to put them, or what parts of them to put in. This is an enormous frustration for me. Since I upgraded to Win7, it's gotten harder since the way the files and folders are displayed has completely changed over XP. I wish I could get someone on the phone to walk me through it, or at least give step by step instructions.

A few addons I would suggest are:
Dominos (Action bars), Stuf (Unitframes), and Grid if you heal.

Dranenel/Shaman, I have more but don't play them too much.
My Night Elf/Hunter is my Highest level 25

Next question is where do you get the add ons?
do you just Goggle the name? or do you
get to them another way?? Can anyone please send me

You can always try Curse.com - that's where I get mine.
They have a downloadable client , which you then use to install/uninstall/update all the add-ons you have smile

I found them all by Goggling them grin
should have done that B4 I opened my mouth laugh
So, if I install Carbornite do I install Cartogagher too?
or do they do the same things? last time I tried to do
add ons I ended up installing 3 different add ons
Quest helper & carbonite & tom tom and everything
got overlapped & I couldn't read my mini map,
I ended up taking them all off except for Quest helper
so which ones can I install without messing everything up??
I get confused with these things? which is the Best
Quest helper one to install?? Thanks so much~Karen puppy

I myself use Questhelper smile
I have tried others, but I like this one the best, so I think it depends on what you find the easiest to use.

Hi missalo! Thanks so much for your help!v thanks
I use Quest helper now too, I was just wondering if their was a
better one? I guess I'll just have to try a couple out & see if I like any of the others better. But I still don't know which ones to
download that are not quest helpers? Will you be playing tomorrow? I'm gonna be, it's been far too long since I played around 5-6 days and I miss it like crazy! grin My leg
is still being a real pain~ Thanks again~ G'Night~Karen sleep

Since WoW was launched. I have about one of every class now. I only play 2 toons primarily though.(80 Warlock & 80 Shaman)

I checked previous forum posts to see what server the guild is on. Found out it was Draka, but had no idea if it was Alliance or Horde. I'm guessing alliance since you have Night elves and humans. So I'll catch up. When I get a chance. laugh

Doc, the only way you will know which add ons you like is by trying them out. Son says to just stick to the ones that have been downloaded often, and be sure to have only one of each type loaded at the same time. For instance, if you have 2 Cartographer type programs running at the same time, that could cause conflict.

I'm sorry your leg is not behaving!

We are supposed to be going to FL tomorrow to visit daughter, but several things just came up, so not sure we can now. So we will be iffy for playing this weekend.

Cody, you slipped in on me! The Guild is Alliance and is on Draka. Anyone can add you when you are both on, or you can email us in game--You'll catch SnowOwl and Sootwow on the most. Be sure and let us know your name, or I might not respond.
