Can someone help? I'm having a problem with getting the ladder from the guard to reach the letter up on the ceiling. I went into the directors office and spoke to him and after I leave the ladder should be out side the door. So far I have checkout the footsteps in the entery got the size. Went to the resstoration room and checked the footsteps there and size, check the rug and the water container, the tools. When to every Gallery and check on all the What horror pictures, checked the 4 marks in front of where the stolen painting was. I checked the red lines in the Italian gallery floor. And I went back to the Directors office and checked out the potted dirt on the floor check the foot size and went into the office and I was suppose to get the ladder when I left. And thing that I missed? orany ideas. Thanks in advance

Karen,

You might have missed an action or 2 in checking those footsteps.
Be sure that you have clicked on all of them.
Measured the footsteps if possible.
There's one under the crown painting, 2 on the main steps, 2 in the restoration room and one in the hallway. Then there's one on the broken pot by the director's door.
Double check all of them.
Also check all active spots in the restoration room.

Need hlp pls. I've seen the bird in the tree at the White Tower. I got the feather. Right now I'm a little lost. I need to find the storeroom where the floured footsteps are. I'm by the scaffold site I think where there is two white sack by a scaffold and there is a wagon here too. If you go right there is a door but it doesn't have the footsteps of white. I'm I in the right spot to start with. Been going in circles trying to locate this storeroom. On the map the markers show the Hostpital block, Roman Wall, Waterlook Barracks. Can someone help me find my location where I'm suppose to be. Thanks

Take them one at a time from inventory and then look for an active spot on the ground and click it on that spot.

Still having a problem with getting the blue amunitions box, blue plate, and the blue sock out of inventory. The active sensor isn't coming up. But, the hand sensor is still on the bird foot marks. Should it of gone away once I check them out? or could it be I've missed something if it still there? Any ideas. Appreciate any help. Thanks in advance.

Be sure that you have read the red book. You will then know that the Blue Bird of Paradise has a blue color obsession. Take note of the bird prints.

Then the bird prints by the shrubs should be identified. Look close at the tracks using the magnifying lens. Study the book taken from the dormitory in documents and identify it as a Blue Bird of Paradise.

Then you can place the blue objects.

You'll see images of the shields on the wall above the slots where the weapons are placed. Be sure to have read the inscription translation in Documents, and also the book showing the various coats of arms. Now you know which weapon goes with each shield.

The Morning Star should be placed first, in the slot underneath the shield with the dragon.

The Morning Star and the sword can be found on the side of the room directly opposite the main rack in the weapons room, if you haven't already found them.

Hlp pls... I'm trying to get the architect to talk to Holmes about the missing objects like the pulley etc. So far I notice the rope missing, the bar of soap, and the pulley. I noticed outside inner courtyard that one of the piles of bricks weren't covered, the shed is missing 2 cement bags. I went in to talk to the architect and was told that the crumbled lion base was cleaned up.I went over to check and used the magnifying lens and measure the footprints. And now I'm waiting for the architect to explain the missing items. What I'm I missing? Any ideas? The next move is to hear Watson outside. Thanks in advance for the help.

When you measured the footprints around the crumbled lion statue, did Holmes mention that they were Lupin's? When you use the magnifying lens, be sure to left-click all around the footprint until Holmes comments.

It sounds as though you're in the correct hall. As you enter from the main door you'll see the large Rosetta Stone directly in front of you.

You won't be able to enter through the door to the right - but there are markings on that door that you need to examine, and a puzzle to solve there - but only if you've triggered the puzzle from solving the previous clue correctly.

You found the correct book by typing in either Romeo or Juliet on the card catalogue and following the directions for G-8-4? This should appear on the card catalogue screen. Locate and read the book and it gives you the clue about the copper/bronze door that leads to nowhere.

That will then activate the puzzle at the door in the Egyptian & Babylonian Hall - i.e. you'll be able to view sections in close-up to see the figures clearly, and follow the clue instructions.

So there is actually suppose to be a book? All that appears in my inventory is the poem. Would that be what would be consided the book? If so I really don't understand this poem about the bronze door etc. If the book is the poem then I did get the book from library. Please let me know.

If the poem that you see in your Documents mentions the copper/bronze door, then that's fine - the information has been extracted from the book for you.

If the clue has you truly stumped, here is the answer:

Click to reveal..
1476

Enter that into the card catalogue for your new clue to continue with the game.

I think that should work without having to examine the Babylonian door in close-up, but if not, then that's all you have to do.

It's no problem. smile

You'll find the card catalogue machine close to the main door where you came into the library. You already would have used it to find the book which gave you the clue for the bronze door.

I'm into the Kings Message Puzzle, with the medals. I'm having a problem with the very last one. First off, I've done all the step perfect when I come to the end I'm suppose To get Jane Grey, I'm I suppose to put her in inventory? I can't seem to do this. Or do I just go straight to the Director's office. Help cause every time I try to pick up the Medal and put it in inventory I have to start all over again. Thanks in advance.

If all the steps have been done correctly then you should be able to take the Jane Grey medal into inventory without any problems.

I'd suggest going back to an earlier save and replaying this puzzle from the start.

After solving each paragraph of the clue, Holmes should say aloud: "Perfect, now onto the next step". If he doesn't say that line, then that step of the puzzle is incorrect/incomplete.

I'm at the Buckingham Palace. I'm trying to locate the First doll that's by the armor. WT said that it was left side of base of the suit and there is a hole. Would it be the armor that I took the sword from on the left if you are just walking in and just about where is this hole located. Thanks again in advance.

It is the same suit of armor you got the pike from.
Look on the floor. It will be on left side and back of that armor on the baseboard. It is like a mouse hole.

From the walkthrough:

In inventory combine the 2 pieces of chains to get chain.

Use chain on the teeth of Norman bow of a ship (looks like a wooden serpent's head).

Look up at the ceiling. Use the chain on the hook on the ceiling above the trap door.

Then use the chain on the top of the raised grill door. Now use the lever right of the open grilled door to drop the grill down. See the head above the trap door.

Go to the end of the chain attached to the grilled door. Take it off to drop the head over the trap door. Yeehah

Thanks MaG I finally figured it out. Right now I'm trying to get into the cooks apartment by the storeroom but I'm not able to cause there is some aquipment by the door and it won't let me pass. So far I have compeleted the lockers, I check out the hat on the ground with the drag marks on the pavement. What do I need to do to get the aquipment from the door? Any ideas on what I may have missed before.. Thanks again in advance.

The cook's apartment is the door beside the storeroom door. You might not be going to the correct place. If I remember correctly, there is no equipment blocking that door.

Cook's flat: Enter the blue door with private lodging plaque right of the storeroom. Use the key on the door at right.
