sorry,stuck at the gate - i can't find the saves for this game to insert the solved puzzle. any one know where they might be ??

If you have XP, the saves are at:
C:\Program Files\The Adventure Company\The Secrets of Atlantis\datas\Saves

i am ready to insert my save for atlantis, but can't remember what to click on/open to start the process. this one is not in "my documents" ?

I merged your two threads for this game.

My own XP saves are at: C:\Program Files\The Adventure Company\The Secrets of Atlantis\datas\Saves, as mentioned above, but they must be hidden in a different place for you.

Have you tried running a file search?

do i click on the hard drive to find ? i seem to be having a brain sneeze here, so sorry !

Your hard drive should be labeled C. So click on that, then Program files and continue to what Rushes posted.

sorry, i did find it,followed the steps, went back to the game, and when i go to the curtain the slide puzzle is not done and i can't get in

Did you renumber the file to be the last numbered file in the folder?

yes, i did. i have some marked as autosaves , but most are "slot_6 File" ,for example. should i have opened the save ?

No, never try to open a save file outside of the game itself, it won't work.

I can't recall if the game has limited save slots. If your current last save slot is slot_6, did you renumber the save sent to you as slot_7?

Perhaps remove your current slot_6 to a safe place, renumber your new file to that number, and replace. See if that works.
