If this is the control panel you're stuck at -

The clue is the one on top of the panel 1860.
1 is 1; 8 is 2, 6 is 3 and 0 is 4. Any other number is 0.
So check the number you see that randomly appears on the panel below 1860 everytime you pull back and use the code above.

If it's a different one, let us know.

different panel-one where alien voice gives a number and you have to push the right button-have to press the right button 5 times for panel to open-something to do with flow of water

This is what I posted for another gamer:
I'll try to recall this part.

You hear an alien voice. It should be understandable (a bit) now that you finished the pipes puzzle outside.

You press the button - I think it's a single red button.
The alien voice will now test you to check if you can understand it.
It will say a number.
You then press one of the 4 buttons at the bottom of that panel.
The buttons are from left to right 1 2 3 4.
So if it says two - press the second from the left button and so on...
Once you pass that test, you can then use the control panel.

did pipes a few times-each time can understand one sentence-when go to go thru door can't understand alien nor when get to control panel-guess i need save after control panel opened/thanks---i can read what he is suppose to be saying and he asks for number 4-when i push the last button to the right it comes up three!!!

I didn't save in this part since it was a simple puzzle. Maybe someone else has one and can help you.
Or best to replay that pizzle and see if it will work the next time.

i went back to where use blow gun on monkeys (twice) and did over- same result when got to control panel-alien asked for four and fourth button to right came up with three--can anybody help!!!

Is there a fifth button? If so, see what happens if you press that or maybe other buttons. Save first and experiment on all those buttons. Keep us posted.

thank you -finally did it--now can't get back to nemo's base--went in water and moved rock from top of gate

While on that screen where you moved that rock from top of the grate - you will see a building at left background. That's Nemo's base - go there.
Be sure that you have finished down here already.
