Aww the small pleasures of life. rotfl

Hi Venus. more gaming for you I see. lol Are you getting cabin fever yet?

Yankee I was going to say "one armed aggie" but though that some may not be too familiar with that term, so I said Okie. thumbsup

Howdy Boomers:

The snowplow came by at 10 this morning. My vehicle is dug out of the snow and I'm ready to head to work at 4 o'clock. I think I'll wear my camo insulated coveralls and winter parka instead of the typical 'uniform' of black dress pants and black employee's jacket. I'm not sure about wearing a tiara though. Think I'll stick with a wool sock hat today.

Toby loves plowing snow with his muzzle. I haven't tried throwing a snowball for him. He's not very good at playing fetch games. The squirrels are trying to get into my bird feeders and driving Toby crazy.

I decided to enjoy a ladies night out yesterday since the snow was forecast to start at midnight. (Also I am scheduled to work every other night this week.) So I took my neighbor friend to the local Moose lodge to play Bingo. I haven't played in several years and she had never played at all. It was quite entertaining even though we didn't win anything. Afterward we went to Waffle House for coffee and pancakes. Great fun and quite a stress reliever. I must remember to do it again the next time I have a Monday night off.

We only have 3-4" of snow so far but expected to reach 9" by tomorrow. I'm ready for Spring.

bye joe. Hey can you get me some extra wood? I need to build a pub. Maybe that will make the peasants stop revolting!
Ok gotta go and start dinner. For the family not the peasants
grin Steak!?!?! o0o

OK had a DUH moment idea. Was able to stop temporary mini invasions by placing a wall between the forest and the little lakes. At least the peasants can build in peace for awhile and I can FINALLY build up my peasant army

bye gotta make a salad and chicken smile

Your daughter is too funny, L4L! That's certainly a creative way of sending you her taxes. lol

Have fun shooting the bar, Yankee. lol

Thanks, nightowl, I hope our power stays on, too!! Hope you get tomorrow off!

That's great news, Bets. Glad you got it working!

Hope you found what you were looking for, Karen!

Are you supposed to get snowed it, too, blsbet? You definitely sound prepared. thumbsup Sounds like you have quite a few responsibilities to take care of in that game. lol

Well, Joe, it will mean more gaming time provided my power stays on. lol Nah, I'm actually fine staying in (for now) as the roads are terrible. As long as we have electricity, I won't complain too much. lol Hope work goes well for you today!

How much snow do you have now, Nan?

Glad you had such a great time last night, Scarlet! I'm with you on being ready for spring. yes

Well, I just talked with my fiance on the phone. He's going to bring us lunch home from Subway or Burger King or wherever he can get to at this time. The snow hasn't started yet, but it will soon enough. :winter:

Venus we got about a foot on one side of the building and none on the other. lol One side faces the lake and the other faces the other way. Sooooooo divide that by two sides and I guess 6 inches. duh

All I know is that poor Miss Sassy goes out on the side with the foot and can't hardly get through the snow let alone find the right spot. lol

Wow what was that that just whoooooshed by??? lol Jenny are ya off to book club?? Reeses and grape juice in the corner for ya!

Aw Joe not the cows. sad I thought they were for milk??? Hope work flies.

Blsbet I know I would be lost. lol Good luck.

Scarlet sounds like a ood time last night. Have fun at work.

L4l what cha find to do today??

Great jokes today Joe. thanks for the laughs. We had another five inches of snow today and we are due for five more inches tomorrow. I give up already. My house already looks like a Thomas Kincade painting. Well I am off to spend some quality time with my new best friend...the snow shovel. hardwall

What a day! Busy busy busy. Seems when one thing gets going, everything goes. Did my shopping early, flirted with some cute firemen who were shopping at Costco. Too bad they got an accident call right in the middle.

Then home and a nice kid comes to the door and wants to mow my yard. Hummmm. Usually it's an older guy who wants like 200-500 bucks. So I ask how much and he says 15 bucks. HUH? I think I was having a 'senior moment' or maybe a black out, but he repeated 15. So I showed him the back yard too which has very little grass and he says the entire thing for 25. Uhhuh. Sounds awesome. So he has his own mower and has to go get it. Gone a looooooong time, but finally shows up without the mower. Seems it's not working since the job he did earlier down the block.

I'm used to this, so I suggest he use my electric start, front wheel drive 6.6 HP one. He's fine with that and says he will only charge me 20 instead of 25 cause it's my mower. Huh? Again I'm hallucinating. NO one ever makes a deal like that, not for me anyway.

So I show him what to avoid chopping and all the hazards and he gets the mower out and I show him how to start it, BUT he already knows. Wheeeee. He's good. In chatting, I find out he's in Alternative Programs in his Senior year of high school. Will wonders never cease? That's the program I retired from! I even know his teachers. Wow.

So he chops down high grass and 'sour grass' and then asks about a week eater since he can't get the edges very well. I show him where and before I know it, he's got that going and is chopping along the fence. I'm enjoying this. So he has to leave after about an hour to go 'coach' for some basketball team up the block. I know the school and he says he's coming back at 4ish to finish the yard.

I ask if he needs any cash up front for travel or whatever and he TURNS IT DOWN? Geeez. Did I really hear that right? Passed another test. Not going to abscound with my money like I've had a few do in the past. So I'm anxiously waiting for his return and IF he's doing a good job, I will introduce him to my huge BACK LOT. Needs the same treatment so maybe I can make him an offer he can't refuse. Still think I'm dreaming at that price, but of course I'll tip him generously.

In the middle of it all, the gas and electric guys arrive and start doing their 'thing' on my 2 rentals down back. So far they are getting new auto porch lights, a new front door, new thresholds, weather stripping on front and back doors. Dunno what else. He's offering torchiers, ceiling lights and other stuff. I guess they can agree to whatever they need. I gave my approval carte blanche. I had to run off for the mower kid. Very busy running back and forth between there. I'm pooped!
