What a pile of fecal matter! It's enough to turn someone to the dark-side. Can't stop to chat though, gotta get down to the post office and intimidate some pensioners waiting to buy their stamps, and possibly kick a puppy or two. Calm...Calm....Calm

Actually, I just played the demo, and I REALLY want to know what happens at the end. It isn't as sapsy as the name implies. Still, I think I will pass on this one and wait for something creepier and more mysterious to come along as those are the kinds of games I like.

Cris, your kitchen could have left home while you were playing games on your computer--was it feeling neglected? I know mine sure does. I am trying to teach my stove to cook meals on its own without any help from me, but it won't listen to me LOL

At the risk of Cris' wrath, I think I will get this one after all.I had a look at the blog w/t and there are 22 chapters(think of all the fun you are going to miss Cris),and I was only on ch 5 when the demo ended.----Do you want to know how it ends when I finish it Cris? I am sure the suspense is killing you. ROTFL

Well, I bought it. I think I will only be playing bits at a time. Actually Cris, I am a fellow Brit--Scottish. I came to Canada when I was 22, in 1968, so I am just about the same age as the lady in the game, only I dye MY hair. You would have loved having to find the eyelash curlers and hair straightener in the bathroom. Reach for the barf bag again LOL

I just played 20 minutes of the demo. It seems a pleasant game and I was mildly interested in seeing how the story proceeded, but unless you have vision far better than mine, I can't recommend it. Many of the items are very small and very hard to see, and I had to quit before I ended up with a headache from eyestrain.

Did I mention the music? I was waiting for the coffin + 10 sombre mourners to burst through the door. I needed some Pogues just to wash out the nasty "taste?" from my ears.

Hi Doreen,

I think that's a good idea. smile It really is a nice game, and it may well be that my monitor (I still have the old clunky CRT type) is a contributing factor to the difficulty of my seeing the items properly.

I like the game... and I'll tell what I like about it.

It seems this game maker did his or her homework and discovered that the majority of people who play HOG's are older women... thus the main character is one we can relate to. I applaud this tactic. And love that they are listening to us.

It's interactive... something else we've been wanting.

Also, the rooms are not just filled with piles of junk.

The graphics are beautiful and there is not TOO much reading.

I didn't think the music was bad and the game is very long so you get your money's worth.

I didn't find the objects too hard to find and the hints are very generous. The story line is excellent.

They've sold me.

Don't know what I have enjoyed more--playing the demo or LOL at your posts. I am on the fence with this one. I like the story line but I prefer the darker/scary ones better. I didn't have too much trouble seeing the items.

I'm an older guy and I think, based on the first hour, this looks like a fine game. It's long, has lovely and realistic setting graphics, variety, an interesting storyline. I'll wait for reviews of the full game before purchasing, but am very positively inlcined so far.

I am a Senior citizen and I love this storyline. It makes me think of myself when I was young. Schooldays, drive-in movies, picnics, etc. My teen years. THE Hoola Hoop-remember? I love it and the game itself is very interesting with the things you have to do. Recommend it to all to at least try it.

I actually enjoyed the music it was very relaxing. It's not an exciting game but I don't think it was meant to be exciting.

The last half went by a little quicker but it was a very nice game with a nice story.

I liked the game, but I am on the fence about buying it too. I do want to recommend cris for all future reviews on "love" themed games. I never laughed so much. Thank you cris!

You have no idea how much I'm looking forward to February 15th. Love... Smuv! Don't worry though I'm even more cantankerous at Christmas. (New Year, Birthdays, on holiday. In fact any time I'm supposed to be HAPPY!) P.s I like chocolate, so Easter is acceptable....only just!

Well, I have to admit, tried the demo, and got caught up in the storyline. I may just have to purchase to see how it ends. I'm actually finding it endearing..... smile

Purchased the game, started it back at the beginning, and I'm taking my time. I'm liking this one. The storyline is endearing, and it is nice to play a sweet, gentle game once in awhile...

Like I said, I'm taking my time with this one... smile

EDIT: Finished the game and, I must say, enjoyed it tremendously. It was a steal for under $5.00 with the President's Day sale.

Okay--I'll be the first to admit I fall firmly into the romantic type category, and this one just charms me. Yes, I do love the dark ones and just finished a couple, but I'm also a big fan of the Dream Day Wedding series.

Letters has a great storyline--it's fun to play both characters, and I like the music. It's definitely a keeper for me.

*hands out rotten tomatoes to the "bah, humbug" types so they don't have to go looking for ammo. wink *

pure nostalgia here - the sappy love story is like a Harlequin romance novel - even the image of John and Mary on the menu

I love it ... I lived in those ancient days of eyelash curlers and hula hoops

I've played it thru a second time and noticed something interesting. I think Frank (Mary's second husband) was the mailman who delivered the fateful letter to John. Check out the photos on the wall by the stairs in the front hall. Sure looks like him.

I think I've missed my calling, and I should have been a detective

I like the game. Mostly because while I was playing it I kept thinking about those who slammed the game and made fun of it.I got a good chuckle out of those posts! Yes, it is sappy but that's ok.
