HI, I'm having trouble with the slider puzzle in Venice. I'm following MaG's WT, because we all know I cannot do sliders...However, having done it to the letter at least 10 times, it's not working. The puzzle is complete after 3 rows-but the missing tile is at the lower left corner. When I continue on per the WT, it all goes south. Past the 3rd row, and it's repeat, I get lost, and the puzzle is now jumbled..Any hints?

Hi Gillann,

I don't have the game installed anymore to check how that last row works out, unfortunately. I have a save game if you want it. Otherwise perhaps someone currently playing can offer advice here. smile

Thanks, Rushes. I finally got it right...
Now, though I'm having trouble with the floor puzzle at the Count's home. I printed out the pattern, but it's so dark, it's hard to see..Is there a trick to lining up the circles? I know it forms the tree of life, but am having a miserable time trying to get it right...

Yes - first make sure you have inserted the missing stone fragment in the centre of the puzzle.

Then (referring to the inner circle as ring one and the outermost movable ring as ring four):

1. Click-hold-turn ring 3 to align with the innermost ring 1. Release when they are aligned. Hear a sound.
2. Click-hold-turn ring 4 to align with ring 2. Release when they are aligned. Hear a sound.
3. Click-hold-turn ring 3 (and 1) to align with rings 4 (and 2).
It's a lush tree. Count Saint-Germain remembers the tree.

luck

Solved! I actually saw a WT on You Tube, that showed how to do it.

I'm in Bimini and having a problem with the windmill. Is there any way to reset it? I made a mistake, and can't finish it per the WT. The WT also states that the lever on the left side has 3 settings..Top, middle and bottom-I only get 2.
Thanks, Gillann

At certain points in the windmill's rotation it isn't possible to move the lever to all 3 settings. Are you close enough to a save game that you can go back and replay this puzzle? It can't be reset, unfortunately. frown

My last Save is a bit away, but I guess I'll have to go back. Thanks, Rushes!

Hi, I"m back. I have been working on this game, without success for days. I've followed the WT faithfully, and even tried the othe one, too. It's not happening. Per the WT, I used the left base x2, then move lever to lowest setting..then, use right base till mill stops. As soon as Sylvie touches the rt. base, she states-Blocked, well, it's not like it's spanking new. This has happened at several junctures...Have no idea what the probem could be. Any ideas?

There is a possibility that you are not moving the lever to the correct position in the solution.
That lever is sticky.

Practice first where the lowest, middle and top setting of that lever is - so that you are familiar with them.

Also that solution is when you have not touched the puzzle yet. luck

Success! Thanks, MaG. It was the lever that was causing the problem. I hadn't tried moving it into all 3 positions.
