I'm curious how many people are interested in buying the new game console for DS when its realeased in (March for UK) and (No release date for US yet)

I'm personally going to get it when its released, I love the idea of that larger screen.I don't know what color I'll get yet, wine red, white, brown or black.

Funny you should ask that question, as I spent the last few days searching to see when it will be released. To answer your question ME! ME! ME!I cant wait for the US release. I also like the idea of a bigger screen. I got the DSi last year.Not sure which color yet. I'm also trying to guess the price(I'm guessing about 200).

Hi thracia, I think I remember reading that it will be around the $200 also.

There are a lot of videos on youtube on the Dsi LL and XL that have intrigued me and I don't see a downside to buying one, even though the size is much larger than my DSi.

Hi Marie,I mostly play with my DSi at appointments or while in the car, so I don't think the larger size will bother me. As I am soon to hit the half century mark, my eyes will appreciate the larger viewing area.I saw some of those videos on you-tube.Very cool.I also have about 20 unplayed games to catch up on( that does not include the 20 or so PC games, and the 20 or so cacual games, or the games I am playing on PS3,Wii or Xbox). I think I have a problem!

Wow, they are making one with a bigger screen. I have the DSi so definitely will pick up the XL.

Oh WOW thracia, you do like your gaming. I only have my PC DSi and PS2 to do my gaming on. The grandkids have Wii so I can play games with them when I visit and I'm pretty sure the oldest is getting an xbox 360 for his birthday in April.

I beat them to the DSi though, I had mine about a month before they did,

I'm having a great time with my NintendoDS Lite so I'm in no hurry to upgrade. Will the same games play on the new DS? What is the difference between LL and XL? I am curious about it though.

I can't wait for it! I am just hoping that the price isn't too high. I was looking again yesterday to see if a release date has been announced. I have the DS Lite so the XL will seem a lot bigger to me. I like my DS but do have trouble seeing some things on it. I assume that all of my DS games will play on the XL. Thanks for starting this thread. I want all the info I can about it and the release date.

Sierramindy, I think is being called LL in Japan, but will be called XL here in the US. They are both the same console.

gatsbygirl, Yes all your DS games should play on the new XL. No Gameboy slot though I understand. If you see a release date for the US please let us know, thanks. The only thing I could wish for is that they had a pink version, I'm just over the color PINK.

I know what your saying about being a big kid, my own son said just this Christmas that I know what games are coming out even before his three kids do

Ah so, thanks loads for answering my question, thracia. It could have meant "large" and "extra large" for all I knew.

I love that Thracia, "A big kid with a job". I love gaming and it's a great stress reliever. I am hooked on Style Savvy on my DSi.

I wonder if Gamestop will do the same thing with the XL that they did for the DSi. Gamestop gave you credit towards the purchase of the DSi if you traded in your DS.

Right now I'm borrowing my daughter's DS Lite.
But have been looking @ and reading about the XL on cnet :

Marie ,I think I have more games than my 17yo son.Sometimes we even fight over who gets to play first.I also like the color pink, but the color options seem to be limited at this point.They usually come out with the color I want, after I buy it.

That would be great ramona if Gamestop gave out the credit for the new XL, but for me personally, I probably wouldn't do it since I've customized mine with a Pink Heart skin and also covered it with a Pink Nerf Robo Armor.I did the pink stuff because when I bought mine the color pink wasn't out yet.

thracia, That's exactly what happened with me, I thnk there was only black and white at the time.

katbear, I saw a video that showed another game bundled with the new XL, I believe it was some kind of brain trainer. There where someother applications also but the narrator didn't explain those.
