Vista computer was restored to factory settings and wrong password was entered at setup. Do not know what word was typed, strange since it was typed twice. Not able to use computer. Need help please.

Is it possible you typed the passwords in with the CAPS LOCK on?

If you used a simple password, you might try John the Ripper

I have never used it, but I've heard of it before. It's for testing passwords, but it could work for discovering a simple password.
