I saved the file for this puzzle to my desktop and copied and pasted it into the documents folder for Ransom and it appears in the documents list, but as a shortcut, not a saved game. When I open the game, the new save is not in the list of saved games. My computer has Windows 7 OS, not Vista, if this makes a difference.

Is there a Ransom folder inside the My Documents folder? If so - open that Ransom folder and place the file sent inside that Ransom folder not inside the My Documents only.

I reloaded the save into the "Ransom" documents folder instead of the larger documents folder, and the save appeared in my game, so that is fixed. I am returning to the Seven Ships hints & help forum, for help in continuing the game. Thanks for the tech help.
