Hi mrbill - and thank you for the link to Mark Hasley's review.
I do agree with a lot of what he said yes

[I recently finished the game and rated it "medium". For me, it started wonderfully but rather diminished as it went on.]

As a game, it obviously couldn't stick exactly to the original story - too many people know that too well grin
But where it did follow the original, I thought it was nicely done.
