A bit of maths and a bit of logic…
A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H, and J (I’m too tired to think of names

) all live in houses on the same street. The houses on this street are numbered from 1 to 55, and each person makes a statement about his house number as follows:
A: My number is 23 more than B's.
B: My number is 16 less than C's.
C: My number is 19 less than D's.
D: My number is 12 more than E's.
E: My number is 30 more than F's.
F: My number is 17 less than G's.
G: My number is 37 less than H's.
H: My number is 12 more than J's.
J: My number is 10 more than A's.
All the house numbers are different and exactly one of the above statements is false. What is the number of each person's house and which statement is false?
