This morning I saw 2 flocks of wild geese flying north. Love it. They always seem so strong and bold and always I send a blessing and prayer in their general direction.
Well, on behalf of the geese -
Spring is here
The grass is rizz
I wonder where
The flowers is.

Spring has a ways to go yet here, but it'll be here before we know it.

We have our first daffodils but I am still waiting for the geese. Quite a few Canadian honkers have wintered here along with some errant pelicans. Your poem is cute, Yankee Clipper.

Wow! I must be mentally exhausted. Not only did I think it was in the diner, I missed the fact it was a poem. Bring on the weekend quickly. rotfl So sorry Yankee!

Go kill a few Splicers, Ana. There, now that's better, isn't it?

Nine degrees this morning - spring is a long way off here!

Haven't been to the diner - yet - may take a peek later.
Yankee, the "flowers iz" HERE! Spring must be hiding around here somewhere because all the daffodils, jonquils (what's the difference with these two?) and crocus are blooming already, and my Camillia are getting ready to bloom (has 2 open blooms already) - despite the weather turning colder and windy again (winter really is NOT over with yet). It won't be long and Sacramento will once again be in full bloom. All the flowering trees are beautiful already - dogwoods, plum trees and some Magnolia's too.
Love, Betty Lou

Betty Lou - do you know how lucky you are to be with all that blossoming energy. I never ran cattle on my pasture and so lots of native hardwood trees and when leaves burst it's like a cathedral in places.
I watch for the geese each year as sadly there are fewer and fewer of them.
Sometimes older geese winterover on my land because word's out I don't shoot them.

Yankee Clipper I hope those geese are not heading to Ohio because we look a lot like your Avatar. :shiver:
